So national security is not endangered by a CIC who abandons allies in the middle of the night and leaves billions of dollars of weapons, materiel and US personnel behind?
There are various issues in play (not just the Ukraine, abortion-on-demand or Afghanistan). Denying the Senate-stamp-of-approval is just a theatrical show....things are still getting done without the ‘stamp’.
At the present pace, I’d say at the end of 2025...the Army will admit that they can’t fill one-quarter of all billets (both active and reserve). Navy and AF will be probably a 2027 problem. It’s likely that a draw-down on bases/posts will occur, which has nothing to do with funding/money...simply that you can’t fill all the subs/ships, or combat battalions or fighter squadrons.
Whole new era coming. Between incompetence with Pentagon leaders, public perception of woke being a national problem, and trans-stuff...confidence is draining. Russia draining all it’s military assets, and with China’s economy spiraling out of control...I don’t think we have a true enemy left at the end of the decade.
