Nine years ago Leo Beatty was in his early 30s and working for U.S. Steel when president Barack Obama came to the Mon Valley plant. The visit was a post-State of the Union opportunity to sign an executive order authorizing “myRA,” a new retirement savings option for people who lacked an employer-administered account.
Mr. Beatty, then a registered Democrat who voted for Obama twice, said it was a thrill: “I really liked him then so it was exciting,” even though his presidency wasn’t always what he had expected. “I still like him. I am just not sure how much he did for the middle class Black community, or middle class white community either for that matter.”
Today Beatty is no longer a Democrat, nor after thirteen years on the job does he work for U.S. Steel. And that “myRA” program was shuttered only three years later.
Mr. Beatty voted for Joe Biden in 2020, but that has become even more of a disappointment.
“Biden dropped the ball for me on inflation, so no I don’t think he’s doing a good job — not just because I don’t think he has the cognitive ability to do it effectively, but because he knows no one like us. And by that I mean middle-class America,” said Beatty, who is now a registered Independent.
When asked to expand about his problems with Biden’s presidency he said, “Well, how much time you got?” Beatty said it is insulting for Biden and the Democrats to keep saying how great the economy is. “Maybe for his friends. It is about the rich getting richer and putting us working class people against each other instead of looking at the real problem. The real problem is the rich people against poor people. It’s more classism than racism,” he said.

Maybe. The number of articles over the years saying AA voters were coming to their senses are legion and have been posted here on FR. Maybe again there was a nudge towards Trump in 2020 but well let’s say other issues clouded things. I’ll take any small victory but haven’t seen much yet. One day maybe. Might not live to see it though.

Not a progressive, but lately more liberal than conservative on several issues. Or maybe she just has to “step lightly” to get her opinion pieces published.
Seems like they had one. They did better under Trump than any previous President and yet the majority of them voted for Biden. “Elections have consequences”.
We’ve been teased with the possibility of a black vote shift for years. It never happens. Blacks are bought voters. The racial quota system is too valuable.
What about White voters?

Trump is really making progress with black voters. He was at 20% before the sham arrest in Georgia. He could get 30% of the black vote in 2024. It’s nice to see videos of so many black people leaving the democrats to support Uncle Trump.
All the Dems have to do is make a few “you’ll be back in chains” speeches and the outliers will come back in line.

That’s because they are replacing us with more pliable and controllable voters. Why cater to a group whose vote will soon have little effect on the outcome? Besides, they can always add the votes they need since those charged with making sure we have secure and reliable election results have turned the vote counting process over to leftist organizations. All as the DOJ (mostly leftist ideologues) and Courts look the other way, shrug their shoulders and say, “Not much we can do”.
The risk they take is that they underestimate the number of voters (including blacks) who are totally fed up with the left and their “reliable” voters turn against them in numbers not expected. As in 2016, they may not be prepared for the numbers and will not have time to put their fraud machine in place in precincts they have not had to worry about in the past.

Blacks are not smart enough to realize that they’re just tools for the democrat party. They don’t know any better. We hear stories every election about blacks becoming disenchanted with the democrat party, but in the end, they still vote democrat and continue to suffer because of it.
We will see, a lot of black votes are fraud votes created by the red dems.
