Breitbart ^ | 2 Sep 2023 | HANNAH BLEAU

Former President Donald Trump holds a 37-point lead in the Republican primary race, the latest survey from The Economist/YouGov found.

The survey asked Republicans and Republican-leaners, “If the Republican presidential primary in your state were held today, who would you vote for?”

Trump leads the GOP primary field with a majority support, as 51 percent back him. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis comes in 37 points behind with 14 percent support. No other candidate comes remotely close. Anti-woke businessman Vivek Ramaswamy comes in a distant third with five percent support. Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley comes in fourth place with four percent support, followed by former Vice President Mike Pence (three percent), former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (two percent), and South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott (two percent). Everyone else listed on the survey — including former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson and North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, received zero percent support.

Another 11 percent said they are not sure, and six percent said they will not vote.

Nobody seems to be gaining traction.

The field will narrow after Iowa and New Hampshire. It always narrows down after early primaries and caucuses.

Nobody seems to be gaining traction.

Why would they?

At best (Vivek) they are MAGA-Lite.

At worst (the rest of them) they are our enemies because of their alliance, in one form or another, with the GOP-E, Globalists, NeverTrumpers and the Deep-State.

But ... but ... but ... we need to vote for someone other than Trump ... someone who can actually win.

Like ... one of those unpopular Republican candidates that no one likes ... I mean ... That guy could actually win.

Oh I know.

WSJ :

The former president holds a 46-point lead over Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, according to the WSJ, which polled 600 Republican primary voters at the end of August through telephone and web surveys.

Well, depends on which lame poll we’re talking about.

The more false or unproven charges allegations and smears the D party bosses and their useful idiots hit Trump with, the stronger his support gets

Was it the exact same poll?

I'm supporting someone with proven executive leadership, competence, and a record of advancing conservatism.

Polls be damned.

Here is the most recent article concerning the Economist/YouGov polls posted on Breitbart.

It was Jul 12.

You will notice that President's Trump % was way down from today's poll and DeSanctimonious's #'s were way up:

Poll: Trump Continues to Dominate GOP Primary Field, More than Doubles DeSantis’s Support:

Trump sits atop the field with 48 percent of support among registered voters who plan to vote in the GOP primary, placing him 26 points ahead of Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) with 22 percent. A YouGov poll conducted for Yahoo News last month showed similar results among a sample of U.S. adults. Trump landed at 48 percent in that poll, while DeSantis was at 24 percent.
