Universities in Florida and Texas were excluded from a national list of LGBTQ-friendly schools put together annually by Campus Pride. In presenting the 2023-2024 list this week, the nonprofit group said the exclusions were a result of new state laws that “endanger and harm LGBTQ people.”
Every year, Campus Pride, a nonprofit group that advocates for safer and more LGBTQ-friendly colleges, issues a compilation of the “Best of the Best LGBTQ-Friendly Colleges and Universities’’ and the “Absolute Worst Campuses for LGBTQ Youth.” The organization announced it had omitted the University of North Florida, the University of Central Florida, the University of Texas at Dallas and Texas Tech University from its 2023 “Best of the Best” list because “they must abide by new state laws that effectively ban LGBTQ+ inclusion programs and services.”

For anyone not familiar, the Campus Pride “Worst” list is a list of colleges, nearly all Evangelical Christian, who had the temerity to avail themselves of the exemption laws as they apply to Title IX. Both the Obama and Biden administrations have signed off on these exemptions. So, why aren’t the Campus Pride fascists going after THOSE presidents as “haters” and worse?

Not quite. University of South Florida in Hillsborough County did NOT make the exclusion list. Not surprising since Hillsborough is a sanctuary county whose Sheriff, Chad Chronister, and his lackey judge friends, would be right at home with Eric Adams in New York City.

I doubt that. The damage is irreparable. Next year there will be zero students at Texas and Florida universities.
Woe unto them for not accepting LQBTQ+ students! Who doesn't want to see a pair of questionable gender walking down the main street on campus, one wearing leather clothing, holding a leash and the other wearing a spiked dog collar and heavy makeup! Isn't that what college is all about? Broadening one's horizons so that their horizons may include San Francisco, Cape Cod, West Hollywood and so on!
