I don’t understand how people are saying this war could end tomorrow, and that “we”, apparently meaning the United States, want this war to continue.

How do people figure that the United States is in favor of this war? How is it that we are happy about this war? Putin invaded Ukraine. He started it. He could end it and withdraw.
