When to wear a mask? I don’t know but one thing is for sure, the bravest amongst us wear masks when driving alone in their car. It is brave to save your imaginary friends from catching Covid.
I see them quite often. Well not these two imports from Dumbassistan University.

Please folks use common sense, This is a virus and can be dangerous. Masks can help and this post of knowing when to wear them is imporntant. But as a health care professional I have to say not just any mask will protect you.
If you buy those mask packs in the store turn them over and you will notice a caveat: “not for medical use”. They are dust masks and will not protect against virus.
You must wear at least an N95 grade or better. And those cloth masks you make or buy> are useless. A mask is not a mask. Surely you don’t think we wear dust masks in surgery in the hospitals do you?
Those dusk masks are of no more help than a false sense of security. And most are made cheap in china. Get a medical grade mask and don’t wear the same one all day.
Even the best ones only last a few hours. Your best protection is washing your hands and keeping your distance. Just a few feet is good ... folks this is a good reminding post and we need to be vigilant. This virus is real. You don’t want to get it

And here’s something else. There are all sorts of masks out there. You can get ‘em at a medical supply house. You can get ‘em at the dollar store. No one can tell me these masks all offer the same “protection”. Yet evidently if you are wearing a mask - any mask - you’re good to go. No questions asked.
This whole thing is nuts.

That denies the experience from the Spanish Flu Epidemic in 1918. Innumerable people were killed by bacterial pneumonia, rather than a flu virus, by the actions of the masks they wore.
When wearing a mask,
When you inhale, you suck in viruses, toxins, waste gases, and the bacteria from your lungs that clung to your masks from previous breaths you took.
When you exhale, the mask traps the toxins, waste, and bacteria from your lungs against your face.
Prove me wrong.
One wonders at what these Nazis would reply when told, "If you can smell a fart through your mask, then you can get the ooga-booga Covid, too."
I have never stopped wearing a mask.
Getting people to refuse to wear masks and observe social distancing was a major PR success of antivax/antiscience charlatans. They even managed to convince people of the completely contradictory ideas that masks somehow block oxygen but do nothing to stop viruses, even though virus particles are hundreds of times larger than oxygen molecules.
With their aggressive antiscience campaign, the antivax/anti-medicine charlatans ensured that the efforts to stop the pandemic early on would fail and that the virus would have the chance to entrench itself and keep mutating. And they targeted conservatives in order to convince as many as possible to refuse to protect themselves against infection, so that they would die from SARS-CoV-2. I have even seen liberals credit the higher death rate of conservatives for the fact that Trump lost the election.
When radical leftists like RFK Jr., Naomi Wolf, and a slew of Hollywood celebrities suddenly start telling you that masks are dangerous or that vaccines kill, WHY do you believe them? Does no one ever suspect them of maybe feeding you falsehoods because they want all conservatives to die? Sheesh, would you trust a fox to guard the henhouse?

That is actually a reasonable recommendation. If you’re sick, don’t spread the shiite around.
Just like every other Flu that has ever been, if you’re immune compromised, mask up in crowds if you want.
“if you want” is the key phrase there.
