On Thursday she used a post on X, the platform formally known as Twitter, to announce that she would not vote to fund the government if the House did not launch an impeachment inquiry.
She added other conditions, including ending funding for the war in Ukraine and for what she called the 'weaponization' of government.
She is not the only Republican to have threatened to block funding.

Shut it all down, not another nickel for Ukraine til the wall is completed, they should be making massive cuts in Federal Agency budgets to pay for what has been given to Ukraine already.

The government collects $4.6 Trillion in taxes. That should be ENOUGH
Government spending overall is about 6 trillion dollars give or take a few.
And all of the government spending was voted on and approved by Congress and the president.
Sadly 4.6 trillion isn’t enough it meet the financial obligations .
We really have to cut spending, but then, everyone disagrees on where and what to cut. So nothing gets done.

As of July 10, the money going to the Ukraine has reached $75B.
If the government shuts down, it will cease payments to retired military personnel at a rate of $274B a year or just over $22B monthly. So she plans on cutting off the funds already set aside for these people that they paid into for a career to prove a political point? And she thinks this will make a change when you consider the left has been trying to cut the military for about 50 years already and couldn’t care less about the people that got them the opportunity to do what they are overpaid to do? Not real bright.

If you can display for me what difference it makes now with Epstein dead and the island shut down so that problem at that location isn’t happening anymore, and it is not going to cost votes and elections to allow the liberals to take control even worse, then you may have a point that I was wrong in my assessment. Cause I can promise you the MSM is going to hammer any republican so bad, conservative or just displaying the R in front of the name, that the public is going to run for cover against all conservatives. And no one in our current justice department is going to do anything positive about it. It’s will just be rehashed and turned into a political tool.
I’m sad the thing happened but it isn’t unusual for things like this to happen in government or big business or international comradery. But this used to called cutting off your nose to spite your face. It will open up a can of worms and you won’t see anyone being held accountable for anything except who the MSM and the DNC wants to put in the blender.
They’ve been trying to get Trump the same way and are still at it since the early part of his first campaign. It will just form a line outside the RNC for unemployment insurance and be displayed in every news source all over the world. And the world doesn’t care. So they’ll laugh. It won’t prove a thing. But it will harm the republicans’ chances and empower those who hate this country. It’s happened before.
