A Southern California jewelry store owner says he does not know what his future holds after a group of smash-and-grab thieves stole $500,000 worth of jewelry in broad daylight on Tuesday.
Samuel Babikian, the owner of Jewels on Lake in Pasadena, told FOX11 Los Angeles that the masked men pepper-sprayed him in the face just before 2 p.m. and ransacked his store.
"I was choking," Babikian said. "I didn’t see nothing. I don’t even see who they are, I don’t even know how many people they are."
Pasadena police said witnesses told them that four men in ski masks carried out the smash-and-grab, according to the outlet. The suspects had fled the store within minutes, escaping before officers arrived.
Babikian, who has owned the business for nearly 50 years, became emotional as he told the station that he was unsure what his future holds.
"I don’t know what I would do tomorrow morning. I don’t know if I should come to the store," Babikian said. "I don’t know, I really don’t know what I am going to be doing because this was my life, this is the place that gave food to my family."
"It's not right," he said. "In a second, they can come and destroy your life."

I’d puff it up too. Insurance. Better than defending oneself. Consider the merchandise sold.
Defense lawyer (mythical nonexistent rial): And so you had no right to say you identified Jamal or Shequalia as the culprits because your eyes were burned by the chemical spray, isn’t that true? You spent two days in a hospital bed recovering your sight. And had plenty of time to be coached by racist white cops to get your story in line, right?”
if they were robbing a bank, a security guard could shoot them..
stores need to start...
1) criminals are left to grab what they feel like taking and will not face charges.
True.
2) We can be holy vigilantes doing God’s work on earth as the pseudo justice system has totally failed concerning assaults, carjacking, mugging and murders that go unpunished, right?
False.
Anything on display is fake.
How do you know this?
May I suggest: Jewels on the Web

Absent hard evidence, insurance companies tend to lowball their estimates, precisely because so many people "puff up" their losses.
Sounds really fishy. That store looks attractive and modern. Why the owner would not have installed a double entry security system in which a customer enters through the front entry door but then has to wait within a small enclosed secured area until the owner is satisfied after a visual review that the potential customer(s) does not appear to post a threat. Plus, he should have panic buttons wired to the local police department located in key places throughout the store as well as wired to a extremely loud alarm system.
The jewelry store we patronized back in the 1980s had such a system. The jewelry store we patronize now since moving no longer keeps any jewelry on display. It is all kept in a large safe at the back of the store.

My recommendation for Californians - stop electing people who don't have your best interest in mind. In other words, stop electing democrats and RINOs.
Democrat politicians and their anti-Christian news outlets repeatedly confront their brain-dead followers with this challenge: "Who ya gonna believe, me or your lying eyes." Sadly, democrats and RINOs invariably choose to believe the lie rather than reality.
Some yutes finally get jobs doing what they love and everyone is upset? I don’t get it. Robbin, rapin and killing is a business.
Biden and party has made the country into Somalia guess it’s so they think nobody will notice what they are getting away with.
You will not have anything nice and will like it.
Indeed the other dangerous part they have the thrill to kill because so many get away with it.
Oops, a bit more than $950.
Really? Why is that allowed? Just let the process work. Arrest them and let them out on no bail.
