Reasoned question. I’m thinking they wouldn’t want to expose
their men that far inside Russia.
They either need to fly it, or take a pass on it, it would
seem. I’m no expert on that. They may not see it like I
do strategically.

I am betting that the drones were smuggled into Russia and pre-programmed from a set launch point at a set time or with a signal.
