Even if effective masks like the M-95 type might have some slight advantage, during the previous mask madness people used homemade makeshift cloth masks, bought or were given ineffective cloth masks which were seldom if ever washed or more common wore the masks with their nose exposed

School kids even traded masks with their friends.
The college in Atlanta (Morris Brown) is easy to understand. They only recently regained their accreditation status and they don’t want to upset the Government Covid Gods.

Also, my ophthalmologist HATED the masks. To paraphrase you, we are not designed to exhale cooties living in our masks up in to our eyes.
