(NEXSTAR) – As more students head back to classrooms, public health officials are keeping a close eye on the rising COVID-19 numbers around the country. The number of people being admitted to the hospital with the virus has been rising week after week, most recently jumping by 21% nationwide.
Will the back-to-school season worsen the summer spike we’re seeing? Dr. Peter Chin-Hong, an infectious disease expert at the University of California, San Francisco, expects the trend to look pretty similar to last year.
“Overall, I would expect cases and hospitalizations to increase – then decrease again before they rise in the late fall and early winter,” Chin-Hong said. “This has been the pattern for the past three years and may be where COVID may settle to: a smaller swell in the summer and a larger increase in cases in the late fall and winter.”

If they want it to “surge,” it will.
A fact-free narrative never stopped them before.
Ginning up more fear in the sheep is Job One for state-run media now. It’s a win-win for them, after all: Get people back in line, obeying their masters, and getting eyeballs off of the corrupt crime family at the controls of the most powerful “law” enforcement, intelligence and surveillance apparatus in world history.
I see this RINO/DemocRAT mouthpiece is attempting to add to the ongoing attempt to jin up some COVID hysteria. Election 2024 looms!
It has very little effect on children.
What’s a covid?
As if anyone believes anything coming from the lamestream media any more. Go ahead, bring it, media. I look forward to you vermin being afraid to leave your houses - but not because of a made up pandemic.
No. But if they turn about 3 times cross fingers and click heels with hormone supplements it might. Keep trying girls.
What surge?
No, but the lamestream media will make sure of it.
just an FYI for those in search of over the counter remedies to fight the COLD AND FLU season....
I’ve found gargling with peroxide and antiseptic mouthwash on a routine basis every time I develop cold or flu symptoms. But the key is to have these handy and to use them early at the first signs of symptoms.
Another thing is routine use of vitamin c in powder form mixed with water and sipped throughout the day.
Election season surge!
Naught times naught is naught…
Why would hospitalizations increase from a variant that basically produces a head cold, and is eminently treatable with OTC supplements ….and maybe IVM antibiotics and HCQ….at least for anyone following the frontline news
Sen. Scott Jensen, R-Minn., a physician in Minnesota, was interviewed by "The Ingraham Angle" host Laura Ingraham on April 8 on Fox News and claimed hospitals get paid more if Medicare patients are listed as having COVID-19 and get three times as much money if they need a ventilator.
"How can anyone not believe that increasing the number of COVID-19 deaths may create an avenue for states to receive a larger portion of federal dollars. Already some states are complaining that they are not getting enough of the CARES Act dollars because they are having significantly more proportional COVID-19 deaths."
Jensen said, "Hospital administrators might well want to see COVID-19 attached to a discharge summary or a death certificate. Why? Because if it's a straightforward, garden-variety pneumonia that a person is admitted to the hospital for – if they're Medicare – typically, the diagnosis-related group lump sum payment would be $5,000. But if it's COVID-19 pneumonia, then it's $13,000, and if that COVID-19 pneumonia patient ends up on a ventilator, it goes up to $39,000."
Jensen clarified in the video that he doesn't think physicians are "gaming the system" so much as other "players," such as hospital administrators, who he said may pressure physicians to cite all diagnoses, including "probable" COVID-19, on discharge papers or death certificates to get the higher Medicare allocation allowed under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act.

Now that the woketard Karens are fully indoctrinated they're not going to allow little Johnny to walk into these disease factories, and she herself is going to demand WFH or else she and millions like her are going to speak to the manager.
