If you’re white, you know what I’m talking about. You walk into one of the hundreds of small liquor stores in a marginal neighborhood and your senses are overwhelmed with blackness and you get the glare from the 'brothers'. The black clerks lines up between you and rows of cheap fortified wines, ready to tell you white customers aren’t welcome... If I was wedded to wallowing in pity for myself and everyone in my race I would write the above... even so I would be incapable of believing such drivel...this writer wins the pity party award for most pathetic. What an honor.../s

I took a sip of coffee once.
Hated it,
never tried it again.
I even hate the taste of mocha icing or mocha ice cream... but I do kind of like the smell of a good coffee brewing properly.
So does that make me a racist or not?

Author needs to hang out in (North) Oakland, CA. Plenty of coffeehouses there, chain and independent, many of them frequented by the local Ethiopian and Eritrean population. They know and love their coffee.

In the mid 70s, I worked in Red China for about seven months. At the main job site, there were so many guys named “Wang” that we had to give them nicknames to keep them straight. There was “Tall Wang” (the tall guy, of course), “Whiskers Wang” (the guy with the straggly chin whiskers) and a few others. Good old “Whiskers” cracked me up.
