Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT) sees no downside in the U.S. supporting Ukraine in its war with Russia, arguing Friday any attempt to rebuild the old Soviet Union must be challenged.
Romney’s belief it is in America’s interest to send the funds and supply the materiel of war to Ukraine was made during an interview. Blood and treasure is spent in a worth cause if it foils Russia’s President Vladimir Putin, was his argument.
The Utah senator, and failed presidential candidate, declared:
"The single most important thing we can do to strengthen America relative to China is to see Russia defeated in Ukraine. A weakened Russia deters the CCP’s territorial ambition, and halts Putin’s vision of reestablishing the old Soviet Union. Supporting Ukraine is in our interest."
This is not the first time Romney has looked at Eastern Europe as a suitable battleground for America to take on Russia, even if it means spending billions and billions as the porous U.S. southern border leaks illegal migrants into the country and a host of other domestic problems demand to be tackled.

Exactly!
Indeed and it’s working.
Russia is a Christian nation. Ukraine is definitely not
Why do I care if Putin or his successors rebuild the Soviet Union?
I favor spheres of influence/empires to operate a peaceful international order. Imagine if Turkey still had control over Iraq and the Arabian peninsula? You never would have heard of Osama Bin Laden.
Ever since Wilson and his “captive nations” idiocy, we have had 100 years of bloodshed and constant attempts to draw the US into crusades on behalf of alien peoples.
Just as I believe in the Monroe Doctrine, I believe the other great powers should exercise dominance in their own proper spheres of influence.
Now, we meddle in other countries, set off civil wars and destabilize them, so our political elite, the defense industry, BlackRock, the Soros Foundation and WEF can make money.
My grandfather was a bohemian and he lived to be a ripe old age and used to tell us boys’ stories and one of those stories or many of those stories he told were basically there’s no love lost between the various Slavic tribes and the the Russians, he never knew the Soviets because he came to America before the World War I. In a lot of cases it’s the enemy of my enemy, the Slavs could rally and work between themselves against the common enemy was for centuries have been the Russians.
I’m inclined to believe that over your belittling comment that it’s nonsensical.
Ukraine |
Russia |
Where do you get your false information that Russia is somehow Christians while ukraine isn't?
