The ‘regular’ alerts are ridiculous — my cellphone screeches for Amber Alerts that are up to 500 miles away.
Cable TV occasionally has EBS alerts.
The city tests their alert sirens about every 3 months.
Car alarms go off frequently.
The more ‘alerts’, the less people pay attention.
Other than incoming nuclear, why would we need a national alert? “This is a nationwide alert: You have 15 minutes to kiss your a$$ goodbye, but get your COVID jab NOW!”
