Cedar Key peaked and water going down-good news.
Thank you for your local report. Please check in when you are able. Stay safe!
Yep, that’s what Cat 3 hurricanes do - amazing.
Thank you!
I have family in St.Augustine,…….it’s a definitely a low lying flood zone……..just south of Jacksonville
“Cedar Key peaked and water going down-good news.”
Was watching the Weather Channel and saw Cantore broadcasting from the second floor of a building in Cedar Key. I guess he stayed there overnight. Gutsy.
I could see the high water mark on the trees.
WFLA reporting live in Tarpon Springs. A young man is wading through knee-deep flood waters. Cameras zoomed in on two nearby ground-level electrical boxes which are live and smoking.
I was afraid of that. Nice city stayed there many times. One of the bigger ones around the area. I doubt many of the places are ready for a storm of that magnitude.
Watching live report at Davis Island. There is a very large awning in the road, blocking the bridge off-ramp access. Otherwise, didn’t look too bad.
Can’t believe this thing is holding together over dry land!! Must be some water somewhere.
My sister doesn’t seem to be particularly worried about them, which is nice, because she was fairly worried last night. I guess it was just making sure everyone was ready.
They said the real bad winds didn’t come down-more good news.
Yikes
Watching the Weather Channel.
Wow, Valdosta looks really bad.
If it looks that bad in the downtown area, I’d hate to see what it’s like out in the open areas.
I’m glad there’s not a drinking game where you have to take a shot every time the Weather Channel reminds us that Valdosta is Tree City USA.
Thinking about you as Idalia is pounding Valdosta. Please check in when you are able.
