Tropical Depression 10 has formed between the Yucatan Peninsula and the Western Tip of Cuba. Governor DeSantis issued a state of emergency for 33 Florida counties in advance of the system.

22,000 power out in Pinellas Co.
Family reports around Tampa Bay are all good shape. Preliminary property inspection: no trees down, no standing water in yard, dock inundated. Baby citrus trees are upright.
Neighbors have canal breach into back yards. The usual.
Very fortunate here.

Orlando is likewise getting little worse than a summer shower thus far... an inch-ish of rain and some wind.
Meanwhile, I see that the feared “loop back” path for Ida is coming off the table... one she exits into the Atlantic, it’s only a problem for shipping and perhaps Bermuda.
