Rental car burglarized just before SF leaders addressed break-ins
Tourists had their car broken into, just blocks from where city leaders were about to address auto break-ins

Tourists in San Francisco found out the hard way about the city's epidemic of auto burglaries after their rental car was ransacked by thieves near the Palace of Fine Arts, not far from where officials were set to lay out new strategies to mitigate car-break-ins.
Lindsey Dobbelare and her family were visiting from Missouri and planned to go over the Golden Gate Bridge, but put that off to explore the renowned San Francisco landmark. They were at the park for five minutes when their rental car was burglarized.
"When we got here, we thought this is a great place to park. These are like $30 million homes. It's a beautiful area, and it's 8 a.m.," Dobbelare said. "We pulled over, parked, got out, did a little sightseeing and when we came back we had our back glass shattered out."
The thieves made off with the family's backpacks, passports, electronics and $1,000 worth of jewelry.

Since the mass media lies about crime—tourists have to learn about it the hard way.

Two interesting takeaways from this story
One was the comment by the victims that they would still come back for another visit. Proving they are good Democrats.
The other was the police discouraging anybody recording video of these crimes and sending these videos to news stations. Can’t have people knowing what’s going on.

rental car was ransacked by thieves near the Palace of Fine Arts Lucky that only their rental car was hit. Thieves are known to rob tourists around the Palace of Fine Arts, and other tourist sites. Even news crews have been assaulted and had their camera equipment stolen from their hands.

You need a passport to go to San Francisco from Missouri now.

Wasn’t there a phone app of crime areas to avoid, which got taken down because of political correctness?

The deception of tourists is a hot topic for me—because I was banned from a (unrelated topic) forum for telling foreign folks about online resources to help them identify high crime areas in the US.
In this case the country was Australia—they are dumbing down their people—on purpose.

Put that stuff in a locked trunk. That's just common sense in any location, let alone a hellhole like SF 2023.

The Clark Griswold and family driving in a persons of color area of Chicago in Vacation....
(Ellen) “This is so dangerous, Clark. We have no business being in this neighborhood.”
(Clark) “Oh I don’t know, hon. It gives us a chance to see a part of America we don’t get to see.”
(Ellen) “That’s a GOOD thing.”
(Clark) “Not it’s not. We can’t just ignore the plight of the inner cities. See the plight kids?”
(Sound of gunshots.)
“Roll em’ up!”

How stupid are they to leave that stuff in their car in ANY city, let alone San Francisco?
Hey, next let’s go to Chicago and this time leave ten thousand dollars worth in jewelry alone in our parked car.
