“Man did not evolve from apes. If he did then why would apes even still exist? In any case it is godless nonsense.”
We humans are primates, as are monkeys. And our closest relatives in that evolution are chimpanzees and bonobos (going waaaaaay back). And we have a common ancestor.
However, the ancestors of Man (Homo Sapien) diverged from the ancestors of other primates over time. So, we are more closely related to chimps and bonobos than we are to other primates, though we are more closely related to chimps, from whom we diverged some six million years ago.
The DNA sequence between chimps and humans is almost 99% identical.
That does not discredit Genesis. Rather, it puts time into perspective. Hence, evolution.
Genesis was written by many humans that may not have even know what a chimpanzee was. It’s just vague enough unlike most mythologies to last, but it has no bearing on the reality of animals or creation.
“That does not discredit Genesis. Rather, it puts time into perspective. Hence, evolution.”
No it doesn’t. We were indeed created. but with some pauses for adaptation along the way until we were finally perfected.
And it is for that truth is why a Savior from sin and death is needed. FRiend, you cannot have both. You are not reasoning very well, certainly not well enough to be heard again.
You have no fact and you have no faith. Now, translating Paul's God-inspired epistle to the dispersed Jews of Hebrew origin, he says, "Without faith it is impossible to please God."
Where does that leave you as a theorist?
