By midday on Thursday, a little more than 12 hours after it was posted, the 46-minute sit-down had more than 200M views.
Regardless of the way X counts 'views' - each time a user scrolls past the video, even without watching any of it, the tally rises - cable news executives will be unsettled by the numbers.
Critics say X's metrics are not a reliable gauge of success and point to the fact engagement - likes, shares and comments - was still below 1 million on Thursday morning.
But as a comparison, none of Fox News' X posts about its own debate had more than 110,000 views on Thursday morning. That's despite the network having 24 million followers, compared to Carlson's 9.7 millio

It appears that the foxnews debate views might actually have been people that tuned into the debate for a few minutes, then went somewhere else, by the fox news tweets getting little engagement.
Yeah, 240,000,000 views is really nothing maybe a couple of people actually saw it all the way through. Lol.
“You know those rating systems are flawed. They don’t take into account houses that have more than two television sets and other things of that nature. ... Stop hiding behind those phony numbers! - I’m coming after you. - I hate you, Donald Trump. I hate you!”

DeSantis with the assertive head nodding freaked me out.
I’m one of those who looked in for uhhh, 30 sec.
I was like the chive TV during the fails segment.
Bye bye fox...cnn...msdnc and all the other crappy news networks.
As a rebuttal for the posters who claim just scrolling through the tweet for the Tucker/Trump interview causes a view...
The Tucker/Trump interview isn’t going to randomly come up in people’s streams unless
You actively search for the interview
You end up in a thread that is a retweet of the interview
You are in a thread about Trump or the rnc debate
So no, the view count isn’t going up because the interview is being spammed to everyone on twitter, because it would be reported and taken down.
And, if all it takes is to be scrolled through...
Why aren’t foxnews posting how many people are creating views for their rnc debate?
That’s an obvious lie. If anyone you follow, or anyone Twit wants you to read, shows up in your feed, you get tagged. They could have easily made sure everyone on the site for any reason was tagged multiple times by posting it in the For You feed, which Twit determines.
LOL....
like I said in the other thread, you’re really reaching to explain away the views...
Because the Tucker interview isn’t being spammed like you claim, because if it was, people who didn’t want to see it, didn’t like Tucker or Trump, would report it and have twitter taking it down...
Try again...
You’re the liar claiming you have to search for it. Just admit you lied instead of trying to blame me for exposing you. Not that any other Twit user wouldn’t have known it was an obvious lie anyway.
The Trump/Carlson interview did NOT have over 200 million views, which would be almost TWICE the number of people that even use Twitter. (The stats from May 16, 2023 shows there were 77.75 million active users.)
Clearly someone doesn’t know how Twitter works. A Twitter impression is NOT a view. It just means the interview appeared in people’s feeds, before, during, and after the debate, because Twitter was promoting the interview. I didn’t watch it, but the interview still appeared in my Twitter feed. Besides the “Likes” were only 500k which is 0.5% and tells you that this claim of 200 million views is beyond laughable.
20%???
Oh, No! Only 160 Million actually watched! What a disappointment!
I watched it but didnt get a like click because I dont have a account. So how many are like me? People who watched it but were not able to give it a like.
An uncontrolled candidate, being interviewed by an uncontrolled interviewer, on an uncontrolled platform, dwarfing their own candidates, interviewers, and platforms. That is the establishment’s greatest fear.
Sure....
July 28 (Reuters) - Elon Musk said on Friday monthly users of social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, reached a “new high” and shared a graph that showed the latest count as over 540 million.
Musk’s post on X about the user figures comes as the company goes through organizational changes and faces competition from the newly launched Threads app, owned and operated by Meta Platforms.
Twitter had 229 million monthly active users in May 2022, according to a statement made before the buyout.

You can tell that this is a major irritant to the anti-Trumper’s as they are name calling, spinning speculative crapola with no documentation and just being general smart azzes to deflect attention away from the fact that Fox’s debate was obliterated by the Trump/Tucker one on one interview using any practicable metric.
I watched the whole thing last night, because it was the only place to watch it... but since I don’t have an account I cant comment or like. Wonder how many more like me?
The problem with that...
Where are the ratings and demos for last night’s so-called debate?
Seems to me that if they were that good, Deep State would be touting them all over the enemedia.
Instead we get...
...crickets...
Clearly Deep State thinks Trump did better.
Besides the “Likes” were only 500k which is 0.5% and tells you that this claim of 200 million views is beyond laughable.Someone calling into the Mike Gallagher show this morning made the exact same point.
Hmm.
Wait a minute, here’s something....
ROTF!
A piddly 12 mil, and no info on demos.
Anywhere.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
