The Democrats and progressives in general have been actively trying to destroy the democratic process for decades. When an election is held in fair conditions they get destroyed. At this point they simple can’t change another Trump or Reagan.

Considering that elections are pretty much rigged, if not in fact, by the two-party control of who can get on the ballot, we are basically at the point where we don't have actual elections. And by my guess, democracy has not improved, nor has the governance of our country.

Without vibrant elections, the politicians have no accountability. And when they are not held responsible for bad policy or corruption, we end up with both.
