The new report found that all but three of those cities were located in China.
Just about two dozen cities, from a sample of more than 160 urban centers, contribute more than 50% of greenhouse gas emissions, according to a new report.
The report, published Monday in the journal Frontiers in Sustainable Cities, found that just 25 cities, analyzed from a sample of 167 metropolitan areas in 53 countries, comprise 52% of greenhouse gas emissions.

Global warming if it is to be blamed on men, is to be blamed on the communist government of China.
So what? Green house games are the natural order of things and a gift to humanity.
Green house gas.
Those cities are all located in Asia, except Istanbul and that is just barely.
Which cities are producing abnormal amounts of water vapor?
There is only scientism and false number sets that is used to proclaim anything that the race of Man can do will in any significant manner, for any duration, change the climate of a planet.
The ego is so massive, how does the head fit in a sports stadium?
This report is nonsense. The greatest sources of greenhouse gases are the towns that voted for Donald Trump. And all those towns need to be razed to the ground, the ground salted and the inhabitants starved to death. That will teach them the need for compassion and caring about others! (/liberal)
Hey Alexa, if you are scared of 4/100 of a percent of CO2 you might want to help and hold your breath for a few years and help all of us out.
I recall I think in the 2000s sometime that China passed the US as the number 1 polluting nation in the world. The eco commies lost a big talking point when that happened. The two countries have been going in opposite directions since then in regards to that. It’s quite clear China cares not a whit about eco concerns but being a communist nation it gets a pass from our communists.
“Those cities are all located in Asia, except Istanbul and that is just barely.”
Part of it, anyway. The other part is in Europe. The two are separated by the Bosporus. And there is quite the distinction between the two (at least there used to be, when I was there): The Asian side is older, dirtier, and more rundown; the European side is more modern, and somewhat cleaner (though still kind of cruddy by Western standards).
oh my- so 25 cities create just 0.0007% of the greenhouse gases which make up only 0.04% of the atmosphere? Golly- how horrible! Man’s contribution to greenhouse gas is just 0.00136% of the “greenhouse gases”! Way Way Way too little to do a stinking thing to the climate!
What you said.
Zero cities contribute water vapor to the atmosphere.
Good! I LOVE greenhouse emissions!~
Can they PROVE anything about “climate change”? Anything, besides the fact that climate changes? No, they can’t. The climate constantly changes... Duh!
They just keep moving the goalposts like the rigged game it is. It’s all a conjob backed up by govt sponsored scare tactics and it’s disgusting.
22/25 of said cities are in China.
I’ve been gathering dried dung all day for my cook stove and also stashing it for later use for heating my grass hut this winter. On the Frozen Tundra. In Wisconsin.
So VERY glad to see my contributions to the ‘Global Warming Cabal’ are being blamed on Chinese Peasants, just trying to stay alive! That is a LOAD off of my mind, I tell ya! ;)
(It’s ALL a crock. It’s ALL lies. Follow the money, Honey!)
Was that direct from Chat GPT?
No, but it could have been...
Wow amazing. They say there is more pollution per capita here. But half the pollution comes from one country. How can per capita matter when half comes from China. If you really cared about air pollution then you would focus on China and not worry about “per capita” That does not matter. And I don’t think its true. I think they are using a bad model based on electric usage, not on pollution. But solve China and the problem goes away for the world.
