You introduced Maui into a discussion that had nothing at all to do with it; what’s more, the discussion had nothing to do with paying Maui residents, or Ukrainian pensions, etc., even in the context of your other observations. Thus, your comment was a non-sequitur, and your examples were strawmen.
The discussion was about Nazis, particularly within the Russian Wagner Group; and, by comparison, within the Ukrainian Azov bunch.
If you want to discuss Maui — and it’s a valid topic that deserves its own thread — then start a thread. I agree with you that FEMA’s $700 per household “critical needs” payment — which is just a one-time allowance — is insulting. But it has nothing to do with the topic at hand.
Where is your concern for the citizens of Maui who the government wants a one-time $700 payment, while we citizens pay the retirement benefits of the Ukrainians, along with all kinds of other assistance. That's on top of the 2200.00 dollars we pay for each invader into our nation, every month.
You see, you believe this is all about Russia invading Ukraine with absolutely no justification whatsoever, and that our involvement there is limited to supplying military & monetary aid in assistance to the effort. But our involvement goes far beyond that. You & I are also paying for the retirement benefits of the Ukrainian people, as well as, the day to day care of the Ukrainian people. Quite frankly it's a terrible investment with no return at all, only payouts. when we have to rebuild Ukraine, you & I will get the bill from Blackrock who will reap all of the money & screw us the tax paying Americans out of more money for these criminals. You seem to be a knowledgeable person about a lot of things, but this topic is not one of them for sure.
In addition to that, we are paying the illegal invaders of our nation 2200.00 dollars a month from the to live on, which is coming out of the Social Security every working American pays into, even of they are self-employed and are ineligible to collect it, while we support all of these people.
A tragic event happened in Maui, just like a tragic event happened in East Palestine Ohio, and out government wants to give each person affected by the fire 700.00 dollars.
I guess you are just too stupid to make the connection, or too callous, neither of which shine well upon you at all.
That connection, just so you will understand, is that I don't care about the Ukrainian people who brought this upon themselves with their hatred, I care mor about providing assistance to American citizens in their time of desperate need.
It relevant because it talks about priorities. If you lost everything overnight, and perhaps a few family members in the process, I would want the same for you. Then you actually might agree with me.
If Russia had invaded Ukraine without any provocation, then I might feel differently about Ukraine, until there cam e need to help American in need, then Ukraine would take 2nd in priority.
