There does appear to be a correlation between Hurricanes and Earthquakes. Changing pressures and added water seem to “loosen things up”.

My daughter at UC Santa Barbara felt the quake. Stuff fell off her desk. Also waiting for the hurricane. She’s says so far it’s just “the first cloudy day” (she’s lived there only 2 weeks).
