Former U.S. President Donald Trump said on Thursday he had canceled a press conference scheduled for next week to release a report into the 2020 election in Georgia, saying his attorneys would put his arguments in court filings instead.
Trump said earlier this week that he would hold the press conference on Monday to release a detailed, 100-page report into what he described as "election fraud" in the state of Georgia during the 2020 election he lost to Democrat Joe Biden.

Yes, I feel sorry for you.
You as well, thanks đź‘Ś
If you want to know what "drain the swamp" looks like, it's happening right now in Florida.
Trump should take notes.
I think you had some sort of typo in which you ignored the most important part of my post. The last part.
Point is, there's only one elected official in America who's draining the swamp right now, who's the only one who has ever actually attempted to drain the swamp, and he's not polling too well.
Perhaps voters don't really care about draining the swamp? Republican primary voters certainly don't. A wide plurality has thrown their support behind the one guy who made the swamp deeper and wider than ever before.
“…he’s gotta quit the self inflicted wounds..”
He has put himself in harm’s way by confronting a deeply corrupt political establishment. Every would-be tyrant in the world wants him gone. Every bloated government. Every giant corporation. Every oligarch. Every crime family. Every cartel.
He has made mortal enemies of so many powerful people, it’s a wonder he’s still alive. He’s had a lot of knives shoved in his back.
Those are the only wounds I see - and they aren’t self-inflicted. In my book, those are the wounds of a hero.
“My guess is that Trump has nothing. This was just more “bravado” like his claiming he had classified docs.”
My guess is Trump has the goods, and his attorneys found a better way to present the information.
No, that’s not the point. They point is you’re part of the swamp or you are not.
Independents decide elections. They are not a segment that finds themselves between left and right and profoundly moderate. That’s not them at all.
They are the ultimate in swamp rejection. They don’t want to be part of either party. And they are going Trump.
Well then you need to open your eyes.
I certainly hope you don’t think the man has never made a mistake politically, because that seems to be the belief among many Trump supporters on Free Republic and that just isn’t reality.
Were you aware Trump asked 50 senior Obama administration officials to remain in their roles after Obama left office?
If that wasn’t a mistake then I don’t know whst it was......I’ve never heard of that ever.
You got that perfectly stated about trump.
The commentary emanating from the anti-Trump trolls is hilarious.
Most of them seem to think the 2020 election was fair.
What surprises me most is that such a low-level of stupid actually exists.
Would it matter that he does? Who’s going to enforce the rule of law? We live in a banana republic. This was a world wide taken down of all populist/non globalist politicians. We are headed towards full dictatorship and watch the W.H.O. will be the first to grab your rights under the new pandemic.
Yep, dare to question Trump and you’ll be called everything but a decent human being. One of them recently tried to assert that Trump, he of the bone spurs, was a better patriot than those who’ve served in the military. That particular FReeper can ESABATM (let your imagination run wild.)
Yet the same people say the leftists are a cult.
Of course he’s made mistakes.
He failed to drain the swamp. He failed to surround himself with uncorrupted patriots. But the more I learn about how deep the corruption goes, the less I feel inclined to blame Trump for those failures.
We (Americans) are the ones that let that corruption fester and spread over the last couple hundred years. We let Trump down - we put him into that hell hole where literally everyone was out to get him - nobody had his back.
If he gets re-elected by some miracle, I’d like to see another January 6 rally but this time not 1 million people but 100 million. The swamp needs to be drained and one man simply can’t do it.
I never thought I’d see this behavior on FR....very sad.
“He failed to surround himself with uncorrupted patriots”
That’s right and only one person is responsible for that.
I’m actually pulling for the guy and will vote for him in the general, I just wish he’d tone it down.....and I’m not the only one.
Because they are never Trumpet’s and like what is happening
Maybe you and the ridiculous party in Georgia are done with him. Not all of us are
