There is no disrespect to the Minutemen and their contribution to American history,” Clark said. Liar.
This is absolute disrespect to the Minutemen and their contribution to American history.

Political correctness, if allowed to continue unabated, will be the death of this country.

As a historical footnote, Columbine High School's mascot was "Rebel" and used the image of a Revolutionary War Minuteman.
For many years a statue of a rifle-toting soldier adorned the school's front lawn until it was removed at some point in the mid 90s, a victim of political correctness, and well before Columbine would become known for different men with rifles.

The high school is tossing the mascot named after the historic “Minutemen” who fought against the British.
So they intend to mount a statute of the king of England.

So they intend to mount a statute of the king of England. Yeah, the current one. That would be appropriate.

A similar thing happened at Anaheim High School in Anaheim, Calif., whose mascot is the Colonists, inspired by the Silesian Germans who founded Anaheim and referred to their community as a "colony." The logo featured a man dressed in seventeenth-century style and carrying a black powder musket.
Although the school is now mostly Mexican American, the students voted to keep the name Colonists. However, the logo will be redesigned to eliminate the firearm so as not to suggest gun violence.

But not the one at the time of the war.

Superintendent Adam Clark, and the rest of the Mount Diablo Unified School District school board have given aid and comfort to the domestic and foreign enemies of the United States. Exactly! The "thousands of cuts" approach seems so obvious if given a moments though.
Rewrite history under the guise of not frightening the young students. In reality, the objective is to erase the struggles, efforts and sacrifices made to form and protect our nation, a nation that has made, and continues to make without compensation enormous and valuable contributions to the rest of the world.
If there is nothing to be proud of, nothing to defend at the risk of one's life it makes the efforts of jealous adversary nations a lot easier.
