They Arraigned the Wrong Man
NY Sun ^ | Thursday, August 3, 2023 | LAWRENCE KUDLOW

Evidence is mounting that President Biden’s ‘I knew nothing’ and the ‘laptop is malarkey’ narrative is unraveling

President Trump went to the courthouse today at Washington, D.C., but I think the wrong man is being arraigned. Sorry to give offense to those who may disagree. As always, I respect your views.

In my book, the Trump indictment by the Joe Biden-Merrick Garland-Jack Smith Department of Justice is a complete travesty. Totally political. Completely weaponized.

President Biden would love to see Mr. Trump in jail so he doesn’t have to run against him. They couldn’t bring an insurrection charge, so instead they settled for a gobbledygook of obstruction and conspiracy. What did Mr. Trump do that was so awful?

He used his First Amendment freedoms to declare that he believes he won the 2020 election. People out there may agree with him or disagree with him, and he may be right or wrong, but in this great country of ours, if you say something and you’re wrong, you don’t get prosecuted or go to jail.

In other words, like the rest of us, the former president has a First Amendment free-speech right to be wrong. By the way, there are quite a few other less distinguished political leaders who have disputed elections — without being busted by the cops.

Nobody indicted Democrats for disputing the outcome of the 2016 election, and by the way, lots of Democrats also disputed the outcome of the 2000 election. Remember that?

That’s why I think the Trump indictment is a complete and total outrage. Not just an outrage, but a diversion to distract us from the Biden crime family’s alleged corruption and extortion.

Because, at the same time, evidence — criminal evidence — is mounting that President Biden’s “I knew nothing” and the “laptop is malarkey” narrative is unraveling on a daily

Isn’t the New York Sun normally a leftist rag? I seem to remember it is and I’m rather surprised by the article.

I do not agree with this part. I respect your views. Why? They do not respect our views or us as people.

If a tree falls in the forest, and the New York Times refuses to cover it. . . .

Dems make it quite clear every time they mention us that they hate our guts. There’s nothing to be gained by treating them with any kindness or respect. They’re as bad as any enemy America has ever faced and it’s folly to try to be friendly with any of them.

“Isn’t the New York Sun normally a leftist rag?”

Maybe they got bought up. Even Newsweek occasionally runs a sensible article once in a while after they got sold for $1.

No. They were a neocon paper that couldn’t make any headway against the Post and went all online.

If you are very old, you may remember the earlier NY Sun (1833-1950).

Larry Kudlow is a good one. btw--he is interviewing DJT this afternoon on his FOX Business show at 4PM EST.

Good to see you branching out into posting threads on different topics.

For those like me who might not have been sure:

indictment: a formal accusation made by a grand jury

arraignment: bringing someone before a criminal court to respond to an indictment. Might result in a trial.

Don’t say that to wimpy, ballless GOPe folks around here.

They cried over Trump’s “mean tweets” and “name calling”.
