I keep hearing everywhere that Utah is a conservative state. But they seem to have some other criteria for who they elect.

They have a stupid system of mailing ballots to EVERY REGISTERED VOTER plus "independents" can vote it either primary.
Other than the super wealthy who own ski lodges around Park City (Robert Redford) or the ghetto slummers in the major cities, the Democrats can't get elected to much of anything. So guess which primary they crash?
