I am tickled that they coined the phrase “Fact Checking”. it is very appropriate because the definition of “checking” includes stopping something . as in “he checked the swing, ball two” , Google needs to “check those facts, before they get out and the fabricated consensus might start to believe it”

the Internet is a seething cauldron of clever deception , for example: a lot of people still think the Virus Protection industry was protecting them when in fact it was/is an extortion racketeering scam, you buy the protection or they send you the virus.
