Mazie Hirono: We Need to ‘Acknowledge Climate Change Is Upon Us’
Breitbart ^ | 08/13/2023 | Pam Key

Posted on 08/13/2023 11:54:52 AM PDT by ChicagoConservative27

Senator Mazie Hirono (D-HI) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that the United States needed to “very much acknowledge” climate change was upon us.

Anchor Jake Tapper said, “Experts warn that extreme disasters such as this one are only becoming more common because climate change is fueling stronger storms, hotter temperatures, more widespread droughts. Earlier this week, President Biden incorrectly claimed he had already declared a climate emergency, which would give him additional powers to combat the climate crisis. Given what you’re seeing on the ground, do you want President Biden to actually declare a climate emergency?”

Hirono should explain to the people of Maui how climate change caused a power company to not kill the electricity going thru downed electrical power lines that likely caused the wildfire disaster she’s trying to capitalize on.

Hey Mazie, if the idiots who owned that farmland on Hawaii had cut firebreaks, mowed or disc that farmland that town would not have burned down.
Really simple solution to prevent disaster but you democRATS are too stupid to understand.

Don’t you realize that volcanic eruptions are caused by climate change too?

Humans lit the fires. Because of climate change no doubt.

Surprised that an Asian woman is so startlingly stupid. Normally, Japanese have a very high IQ.

The exception that proves the rule, evidently. When I see her name in a headline, I actually wince in anticipation of the forthcoming barrage of idiocy.

I suspect people like this set the fires to use this as propaganda...isn’t it amazing they had the most expensive warning system available an it did not work and all the major people working on disasters were not on the island!
Wait for opportune moment this was dry side of island Hurricane Doras outter wind bands an away it goes!

It has been upon the earth for 4.5 billion years. News flash, it’s never going to stop.

Maui used to be covered with pineapple farms. They were shut down. Larry Ellison now owns 98% of the island, and apparently let it become covered with high (and flammable) grass.

Indeed it does. One hundred Senate seats available and so many are filled by dunces - Hirono, Murray, Spartacus from NJ, and formerly Harris and Biden. What the hell?!

She was on a national talk show. Not that anyone watches these Dem slobberfests anymore. Who knew Tim Russert would be the peak of the genre?!

If all radical environmentalists moved to the wilderness and stripped naked and starting living off the land and forest, I might - MIGHT! - take them seriously.

As it is I’ll have another martini.

“”it is communism that is based in greed and thus destroys the planet, not capitalism!””

Rush used to often state that one of the real global issues is the unequal distribution of capitalism. Wherever the free enterprise system is allowed to function properly, all boats rise.

“”She needs to sell her house and live in a hut. Show us how it’s done.””

I had the opportunity to live in a hut in Belize doing some archaeology excavation. A hammock was mandatory if you wanted to wake up the next morning. Some of the Indiana Jones jungle scenes are quite accurate, except for the head hunters and cannibals. The jungle devours anything man-made. Any of the ancient cities that you can visit, they have to work to keep the jungle back. I loved the archaeology, but it is no way to fund a mortgage (or any other bill).
