New pro sports teams bring more than a rooting interest to American cities — they also sparked a spike in flu deaths, according to a new study.

Flu mortality jumped as much as nearly 25% in cities that picked up new sports franchises in baseball, basketball, football or hockey, economists at the West Virginia University found. “It’s important for sports fans to realize that there is some additional risk that they’re taking, now that we’re all acutely aware of airborne virus transmission or respiratory virus transmission…when they decide to go to a sporting event,” Brad Humphreys, a WVU economics professor and co-author of the study published in the journal Sports Economic Review, told The Post.

It seems obvious that a lot of people in an indoor space would increase transmission of airborne injections. I suspect that traveling on a crowded rush hour train would have the same effect. Indoor concerts as well.

It’s an interesting study.

If the results are reliable it likely means people are bring exposed, probably by out-of-towners, to viruses the locals haven’t acquired immunity to. Yet.

Guess what?

That’s life.

Which is risky.

I wear a 17 - 42R jacket. I used to be 18 - 44R, but I’m leaning out for life now. No more “bulks”.
Last one I gained about 2 lbs muscle and 20 of fat...

Gang’em up close together with all the sneezing/coughing/farting.
Helps spread a control that makes money to other businesses.

People who are no different than a prostitute, they are just being paid to peddle fake science. Actually, paying a prostitute is better than blank checks to big pharma.. the effects are devastating, but limited.

....according to a new study, more new studies will be forthcoming, proving that “according to a new study” accords with tomorrow's new study.
