I thought Ramaswamy was brighter than this.

Its the sort of response that is a cliche and slogan and coming from him, sounds stupid.

To that I would ask: 38% of the freshman class of Brown University reported on a survey they are something other than "heterosexual." So where were all these "hardwired" queer kids 25 years ago?

Vivek is right. I lived in San Francisco for ten years and had many gay friends, both men and women, Everyone in SF knows gay people because there so many of them. Many young men told stories of when they “came out” to family and friends. My best friend’s daughter was a lesbian. Mom was gorgeous, girl was not. Clearly gay from the start.

So what?

WIKI

According to some colleagues, Hudson’s homosexual activity was well known in Hollywood throughout his career, and former co-stars Julie Andrews, Mia Farrow, Elizabeth Taylor, and Susan Saint James claimed that they knew of his homosexuality and kept Hudson’s secret for him, as did friends Audrey Hepburn and Carol Burnett.

Soon after the Confidential incident, Hudson married Willson’s secretary Phyllis Gates. Gates later wrote that she dated Hudson for several months, lived with him for two months before his surprise marriage proposal, and married Hudson out of love and not (as it was reported later) to prevent an exposé of Hudson’s sexual past. Press coverage of the wedding quoted Hudson as saying: “When I count my blessings, my marriage tops the list.” Gates filed for divorce after three years in April 1958, citing mental cruelty. Hudson did not contest the divorce and Gates received alimony of $250 per week for 10 years.

Joan Rivers was quoted as saying: “Two years ago, when I hosted a benefit for AIDS, I couldn’t get one major star to turn out. Rock’s admission is a horrendous way to bring AIDS to the attention of the American public, but by doing so, Rock, in his life, has helped millions in the process.

This guy [Vivek] is a fraud from top to bottom

I have reached a similar conclusion.

I have worked with a lot of Indians in a long career. It seemed to be a very strong cultural imperative for them to avoid being rude by telling me things they believed I did not want to hear. They did not see that behavior as deception or lying. I didn't either, but I always insisted on objective verifications after appropriate face-saving measures.

Up until now, Vivek has said all the things I wanted to hear. Of course, I never believed he meant any of them. I am not exactly disappointed, because I never trusted him in the first place. He puts on a good show.

Pretty much like every politician.

Much bigger problems than your neighbors bedroom.

If only that were true. Just today I read the (American run) World Bank cut off Uganda from all loans and economic aid because of its government's anti-LGBTQ laws.

So the Left has made it such that where one puts one's genitals is now an overriding global strategic and economic issue.

Any guess why a port city like San Francisco would become know for homosexuality?

I have continually asked that question.

NO CLEAR response from Vivek.

That tells me he is NOT NBC.

He is brighter than those FReepers that think being anti-gay in 2023 is a winning message. One can be anti-woke without being anti-gay. Trump and Vivek are examples of this. DeSantis, while rightfully going after those who seek to push wokeness on everyone, including children, has gone a bit too far with some of his ads on the matter.

This issue of natural born citizenship comes up regularly here on Free Republic.

Some Freepers say, that both of your parents must have been American citizens at the time of your birth, for you to be a natural born citizen.

Other Freepers say, that as long as you were born in America, you are a natural born citizen, regardless of your parent’s citizenship. Those Freepers argue that such people didn’t have to go through the naturalization process to become a citizen, thus, they are natural born.

So which Freepers do we believe? Some threads on this subject have had hundreds of responses, with people on either side presenting evidence to support their point of view.

quotes:

In 1969, the Stonewall Inn at 51-53 Christopher Street was well-attended but not well-liked. Writer Vito Russo described it as “a regular hell hole.”

Seymour Pine, a deputy inspector with the NYPD, was determined to close the place down because its efforts to pass as a “bottle bar”—a private club where members could leave their own bottles of liquor from which only they could be served—were insultingly desultory. On Tuesday, June 24, Pine arrested bar personnel and confiscated liquor, but as he was leaving, the bar’s owners had bragged, “We’ll be open again tomorrow.” Carter suggests that Pine was “stung” by this defiance, in part because he knew it was true. The bar reopened on Wednesday. So Pine came back in the early hours of Saturday.

A crowd had gathered outside the tavern by the time the police were ready to load up their wagons with contraband alcohol, Stonewall employees, and unhappy bar goers. When the cops started to manhandle their unruly prisoners, the onlookers became enraged, throwing coins, stones, and bottles at the officers.

by the summer of 1969, gays were more willing than ever to challenge authority, thanks to the influence of the civil rights, feminist, and anti-war movements. The Stonewall raid also occurred on the first hot weekend of the summer, at the biggest club in the area, and in a pedestrian-friendly neighborhood that had recently become home to a growing number of homeless gay youths who had no property, jobs, or family ties at risk if they faced off against the cops.

In March 1970, for example, after a police raid on the Snake Pit, a (non-Mafia) Village gay bar, a terrified young Argentine jumped out of a second-floor window and impaled himself on a 14-inch spike while attempting to escape from police custody. The GAA immediately organized a protest march and a letter-writing campaign.

An October 1982 article in New York’s feminist newspaper Womanews, reporting on the imminent closure of longtime Greenwich Village lesbian bar the Duchess, revealed the anger political activists felt at the bar: “Of the millions of dollars [the Duchess] has drained from the community on overpriced drinks and cover charges, it has consistently refused to give back even a dime to the larger lesbian community. It has refused to hold benefits, take out ads in feminist newspapers, or even allow them to be sold there, or in any way be responsive to the wishes of the lesbian community.”

On the night of June 24, 2011, a throng of first nervous and then jubilant customers gathered at the Stonewall to follow the New York State Senate’s vote on same-sex marriage.

(one guy yelled: “I’m getting married! Now I just need a boyfriend”)

I heard San Francisco came to have a big homosexual community, because of major naval bases there, and that many were discharged from the navy for homosexuality in San Francisco at the navy bases there. This happened decades ago, when it was shameful to be a homosexual.

Back in those days, when it was so shameful to be a homosexual, rather than return to their hometowns in shame, the homosexual former sailors stayed in San Francisco.

That’s what I’ve heard anyway.

He is brighter than those FReepers that think being anti-gay in 2023 is a winning message.

And these FReepers are brighter than those who embrace an ideology that has never worked in human history, despite it being tried dozens of times. Perhaps you don't know better than the previous forty centuries.

So, gays are gay because they were born that way, but trannys aren't the gender that they were born, even though they were born that way?

That is the official party line - this year.

It is propaganda of course, and false. Other agendas are in play.

Homosexuality is a spectrum disorder primarily caused by environmental and hormonal stresses on the mother during weeks 8-24 of pregnancy. It weakens the development of normal sexual polarization to opposite-sex attraction, and resistance to same-sex attraction. Or it reverses the polarities to some degree.

Homosexuals can also be "made" by early and intense sexual exploitation of children, and adolescents. It depends on how strong their natural sexual polarities were before exploitation. It also depends on how skilled the exploiters may be and whether they catch their subjects at critical times where they are vulnerable to change. Results are always uncertain for any particular target. Most people cannot be turned after puberty sets in. There are always a few exceptions though.

“natural born citizen”

The meaning of the term needs to be resolved by the courts.

My preferred meaning is not having foreign citizenship at birth.

The clause the term was in was undoubtedly intended to ensure 100% loyalty to the United States.

If he were eligible, it would state clearly in his wiki. Yep, imo, he’s not. They sure are trying to pull another obama with a 2nd one to make the requirement mute, huh.

It’s possible - it’s also possible that being a rapist is hard wired from birth.

Neither reality would all for us to accept people who want to sexually mutilate children - and sterilize them. Maybe WE were born as protectors of the innocent against the evil of bullies. Just born that way...

Out of context quote....he also said “there is no gay gene”. (Abortion would get banned by leftists right after they found a “gay gene” and people started aborting based on genetic testing for it). The full interview and context here:
