Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has dropped to third place in the Republican primary race, Cygnal’s August poll, released this week, found.
The survey, fielded in early August, shows former President Donald Trump dominating the GOP primary field with majority support from 53.3 percent of likely voters. While DeSantis has remained in second place in the vast majority of surveys since jumping into the presidential race in late May, that is not the case in this particular survey, as anti-woke businessman Vivek Ramaswamy edges him out with 11.4 percent support, pushing DeSantis, who garners 10.4 percent support, to third place.
Former Vice President Mike Pence, recently labeled “Liddle Mike Pence” by Trump after he suggested that Trump asked him to put him “above the Constitution,” falls to fourth place with 6.6 percent support, followed by South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott with 3.2 percent support.
No other candidate sees above three percent support, as former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley comes in sixth place with 2.8 percent support, and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie comes in seventh with 2.1 percent support.
The remainder see less than one percent support.

Ramaswamy 11% (+6)
DeSantis 10% (-11)
Pence 6% (+2)
Scott 3% (+1)
Haley 3% (-2)
Christie 2%

Notably, the survey finds Trump leading the field among all demographics listed, including swing voters, garnering 31 percent in the crowded field. Ramaswamy follows with 18 percent, placing DeSantis in third yet again, with ten percent support.

A recent New Hampshire poll told a similar story of DeSantis’s decline, showing Trump opening with a 34-point lead and DeSantis dropping to single digits, tying for second place with Christie at nine percent support each.
“He’s crashing badly,” Trump said of DeSantis during an interview with Breitbart News’s Matthew Boyle last month.
“He’s got no personality,” Trump said when asked what was wrong with the governor’s campaign. “He just has no personality.”
Ron Cruz.
That’s really bad. Christie at 9% in New Hampshire? What are they thinking?
Hannah’s daily Ron blast.
A note about this poll:
Trump holds a firm grip on only 24% of GOP primary voters
38% say they will consider Trump and other candidates in the primary.
Nearly a third (29%) of GOP voters say they will vote for anyone except Trump.
With the soon-to-be announced Atlanta witch hunts I expect to see Trump polling above 120 percent of living R voters.
Never saw it coming.
Where does support for other GOP candidates go if only Trump and DeSantis?

Bullcrap.
I 100% guarantee you “Ramaswamy” won’t get double-digit support in any state when actual voting takes place.
Anyone taking issue with that can just bookmark this thread and get back to me after his single-digit showings in IA/NH and subsequent dropping out. Every election has these no-name losers that poll weirdly higher than probably the percentage of Americans who’d be able to correctly tell you who they are.
Although DeSantos likes to present as Top Gun it’s now pretty clear he’s more comfortable at the bottom.
But surely you’ve heard that Michael Cohen back in 2015 PAID to have the polls rigged to falsely boost Trump and that “one weird trick” has somehow (fairy dust?) persisted right up to THIS PRESENT DAY and so you can’t believe any poll that has Trump ahead not even (and particularly not) dozens and dozens of polls that have him ahead not by a few percent but by double digits and so Ron DeSantis will be nominated!
Surely you’re aware of this?
I hope you will not be forced to eat your hat if Swamy ends up in double digits.
That’s only temporary.
And Trump will still clean DeSantis’ clock as multiple polls show in head-to-head matchups.
And DeSantis is still under water, or polling worse that President Trump against BIDEN in ALL Polls.
In other words, DeSantis is still a Loser!

That Suarez guy looks pretty good. Maybe there’s a place for him with PDJT 2.0.
Interesting. I like Ramaswamy, think he’s a brilliant guy, but probably not ready to be POTUS
