In January 2025, on his first day of office, Trump should issue an executive order disarming the FBI - they shall not hold, possess or train on any firearms or weapons of any kind.
The will continue to do their investigative and counter-espionage work as normal
If in the rare case they expect violence or need to make a raid, they can coordinate with local police and/or US Marshalls.
It is a first step until the nation decides what the true role of the FBI should be. Armed wing of America’s KGB? Or investigative arm assisting states in solving crime?
