Gavin Newsom, Vivek Ramaswamy and Robert Kennedy Jr. have all surged ahead of the Florida Governor.

Ron DeSantis continues to look like a long shot in presidential betting markets, hitting a new low in gamblers’ estimations of the 2024 landscape.

According to the Election Betting Odds website, which uses odds from Betfair, Smarkets, PredictIt and Polymarket, the Governor is now in sixth place, with a 4.8% chance of victory.

Maybe DeSantis will grow a beard and try to get onto the Supreme Court.

I live in Florida and wish Trump didn’t endorse
him over Adam Putnam who was leading Ron by
45 points.

I saw where Ron said yesterday that Biden
won 2020. BS. How can Trump campaign dozens
of huge 30,000 crowds and Biden hid in his
basement and didn’t campaign and win.
Totally illogical.

After this I am in favor of a recall of this
back stabbing Meatball.

DeSantis goes up against the most popular, respected president/candidate in modern American history and now people wonder why he failed.
.
Anyone this stupid should never be president of the U.S.

In August 1991, everyone assumed that Mario Cuomo would be the Democratic nominee.

In August 2015, nobody expected Trump to be a serious contender.

IOW, it's still too early to say that anyone is guaranteed to win or lose.

“Although in 2028, we would be hearing the same complaints from people , about how he’s being supported by Karl Rove and Paul Ryan and other RINO types.”

While those same people say that if he’d just kissed the ring, he’d have been a shoe-in as DJT’s VP pick - yet those same people say he’s a deep-state, globalist hack. Cognitive dissonance?

Wrong! That was all the so called, “Experts” who were all wrong!

There were a few of us who supported Trump and were confident Trump would win right out of the gate!

I posted this the day Trump came down the escalator and announced.

I know. I think-—not close to the situation-—Putnam made some bad missteps in the late primary campaign.

Right now, DeSoros is tied with White Lizzo at 9% in NH. That’s horrible. Even Cruz did better.

He’s a wonderful Governor... too bad he took lame advice to attack Trump. He should have supported Trump in his fight with the deep state - then run on a platform of what he could do for the country...

Trump’s my guy but I wanted DeSantis in ‘28.

Really too bad because the Republicans need a fallback in case one of the bogus indictments sticks.

2-3 months after Trump announced (August/September), he was SURGING and beating Jeb Bush by a lot who was moving down to 3rd.

https://www.cnn.com/2015/09/10/politics/donald-trump-ben-carson-cnn-poll/index.html

2-3 months after Desantis announces, he is falling futher and futher behind. Soon he could be in 3rd or 4th place solidly. He is already 3rd in some polls.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12328773/DeSantis-falls-place-South-Carolina-remains-distant-second-Donald-Trump-Iowa.html

IOW, Ron DeSantis is the new Jeb Bush.

And Trump the quasi-incumbant is doing even better than he was in 2015/2016.

That’s the problem with the too early anything can happen excuse DeSantis supporters/NeverTrumpers always like to give. They need to stop lying to themselves.

Hear! Hear!

There is always an excuse from a DeSantimonious supporter and it always lacks substance or logic or both!

It’s pretty bad when the odds makers thing you are less likely to win than someone who isn’t even running.

Funny how FReepers (even those with “conservative” in their handles) hate the only true conservative running, and one with a stellar conservative record.

TDS infects both parties, apparently.

“Absolutely! He’s damaged goods now.”

And that is exactly what the left set out to do with all the negative shit thrown at this man. Shame. the right walked into another trap and now DeSantis is shunned by the left AND the right.

Name anyone else who can even come close to a Trump or DeSantis...I’ll wait. In the meantime, the sun is setting on the USA.

Man, he was set for ‘28, too. All he had to do was wait.

I actually wanted him to run in 2024. I never imagined he would suck so badly at this. From what I've seen so far, I don't think that even, had he waited until 2028, he would have done very well.

Sometimes having statewide success doesn't translate into a being a compelling candidate at the national level.
