During an interview with NBC News on Monday, 2024 Republican presidential candidate Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis stated that the 2020 election was poorly run, but we had mass mail-in balloting because “Trump turned the government over to Fauci, they embraced lockdowns, they did the CARES Act, which funded mail-in ballots across the country. Donald Trump signed that bill that funded the mail ballots that all the Republicans have been so concerned about.” And that the censorship of the Hunter Biden laptop story “was Donald Trump’s FBI that was working with that.”
DeSantis said, “Whoever puts their hand on the Bible on January 20 every four years is the winner. And I don’t think the election — and I pointed out in that same [quotation]…when they changed the rules for COVID, I think that was wrong. I think some of those changes were unconstitutional. When they do mass mail ballots, I think that’s wrong. I think ballot harvesting is wrong. I think the Zuckerbucks were wrong. I think the fact that the FBI was working with Facebook and these other tech companies to censor the Hunter Biden story was wrong. And so, I don’t think it was the perfect election. I remember after, a lot of the media was saying, this was the most secure election in history. How could it be the most secure with those millions of mail ballots going out? [At] the same time, at the time, after the election, they were talking about Maduro stealing votes on the voting machines or whatever, and none of those theories proved to be true.”
He continued, “But here’s the issue that I think is important for Republican voters to think about: Why did we have all those mail votes? Because…Trump turned the government over to Fauci, they embraced lockdowns,

Unless something is done about cheat-by-mail-in ballots, the norm from now on is that the Republican will be in the lead on election night, only to have the count slow-walked for a week until enough mail-ins are found to put the Democrat ahead.

CARES Act was written by Pelosi. Trump didn't care. He signed it.
Trump/CDC/Fauci lockdowns ensured 2020 election laws would be changed. Trump didn't care. Trump awarded Fauci a Presidential Commendation on his last day in office.
Trump stupidly told Republican voters to vote only in person on Election Day so only Democrats benefited from GOTV mail-in voting.
Rep. Massie criticized the CARES Act. Trump angrily demanded that Massie be tossed from the Republican Party.
We’ll see if he fights back against brandon with the same gusto.

It certainly wasn’t Trump’s FBI. The DOJ/FBI was working against Trump the entire four years of his Presidency. As was most of his own cabinet.
As to Covid, if you go back and read the press reporting and the statements of politicians on both side of the aisle, anytime Trump tried in the least bit to push back against the outrageous spending and actions of Congress and State governments, the outrage was off the charts. Any hint of his going against the left resulted in calls for impeachment.
Remember Cuomo’s daily press conferences and the adoration of the press over his policies. THAT’s what the media, the left, and many in the GOP demanded and anyone who went against their demands soon found themselves out of a job and their voices silenced. The left, and those such as DeSantis, want us to forget how even Trump’s own administration put up roadblocks stopping him from doing anything other than what Pence and his team, and mainly Fauci (Mr. Science himself) demanded.
And now they want to re-write history and be absolved of their responsibility for the Covid response disaster as they continue to demand Covid “amnesty”.

The COVID stimulus is what actually is still propping up this trash economy....Im not sure it had much to do with the clusterfuck called the 2020 election.
