Pence was a necessary evil at the front end. But he worked with the GOPe to thwart Trump’s agenda throughout. I suspect General Flynn’s ouster was orchestrated by Pence.
I tried to give Pence the benefit of the doubt but too often he damned w/ faint praise, failed to support or cast aspersions.
The face Pence wears is not a reflection of who he truly is. The Judas act, the book deal, the candidacy and the orchestrated Trump smears and bashes has cemented him as contemptible in my world view. He is the snake parable in the flesh.
That sums it up. Some Posters criticize Trump for picking likes of Wray and Barr and even Pence. For me, it is easy to understand. Trump ran as outsider in 2016 and indeed he was an outsider. He did not spend a career in DC getting to know the elites. Trump relied on the elites to pick his appointments. There was not a lot of choice. He could not bring in people from his company to run the DC government. There just are not many MAGA types among the elites.
Pence was touted as Trump’s bridge towards “conservatives” in GOP.
