Yes, gasoline is up a quarter around me.
2019 is a better baseline because 2020 started the COVID lockdowns. 2019 was the last “normal” year.
Gas is now over 5$/gallon at several stations and many are hurtling to 5$/gallon.
My wife is preparing for our weekly grocery shopping now by checking the weekend ad for our main store.
Most of what we buy is up price since last week. A couple of items
The woman has not been confirmed as labor secretary. How long can she be “acting” secretary?
Most of what we buy is up re prices since last week. A couple of items were on sale, and we will stock up on none perishables on sale.
The price of gas has gone down from $2.98 all the way down to $3.49. Thank you President Biden.
And in other Bizarro World news,,,,,,,,
I live in Western PA and the regular gas price at my local Sheetz is now $ 3.99.
That is slightly more than "just over $3.00" but I do get a .03 cent/gallon discount with my Sheetz card, so I guess 3.96 ain't too bad!!!
I filled up at $3.09 maybe 6 weeks ago. Yesterday...$3.69.
Been buying like 5 gallons at a time thinking it would drop soon.
I tried using eggs to run my car, but they clogged the fuel injector.
The premise was the price of gas, not eggs.
The price of knock off Viagra is way down, but it still doesn't work in my car.
PS: Cuban Black Bean prices are also down.
I’d like to know where? Fantasyland?
NOT where I live & drive
Up .10 cents this week by Seattle $5.10 regular.
Bidumbs Paid liars are getting paid while we are getting laid…I mean raped.
I just paid $4.10 for unleaded plus (turbo). Three weeks ago, I paid $3.09 for regular.
About the same here(western Ne.) It was $3.149, jumped to $3.609.A real “Biden decrease”. He better never get caught out in public without Security.
Returned home about 30 minutes ago from a run to the gas station and the grocery store. Both places cost me more than ever. Regular gas was $3.69. Spent $147 on $70 worth of groceries.
Brandon is a disaster!!
Gas prices hereabouts are about 50+ cents higher than a month ago.
Gas is about $3.60/gal. here or more. That is NOT “just over” $3.00. There is exaggerating, but then there’s outright lying. I can name just one grocery price where I go that has actually decreased in the last few weeks, but I will not be surprised if it goes back up like many things have.
“The premise was the price of gas, not eggs.”
No, quote: “prices are lower than they were a year ago, and significantly so.” And that gas prices “continue to come down.”
The initial premise was “prices are lower”, then gas prices were used as an example. So the article is not exclusively about gas prices. So I used egg prices as an example of a price that is lower.
Another quote from the article: “And I think people are feeling them at the grocery store.” Therefore egg prices are relevant.
