According to a Virginia Commonwealth University poll, in a hypothetical 2024 matchup between the Republican nominee and President Joe Biden, respondents chose DeSantis over Trump.
In a 2022 rematch, 40 percent of pollsters said they would vote for Trump, while 43 percent said they would vote for Biden. Meanwhile, when the opposing candidates were DeSantis and Biden, both secured 41 percent of the support.

That university is in Richmond, VA.That area of VA from there north east and southeast to Norfolk has become as liberal as California.
Run the same poll 50 miles west of there and you would get a resounding majority for Trump.

Trump didn’t win Virginia either time. So the poll probably is accurate.

VA west of Richmond is conservative. Very conservative.
It has become close since so many DC leeches have settled in Northern VA and the state could go either way.
But you missed my point which was that the poll is worthless because it did not cover the entire state. A poll taken in the valley, for instance, would have had the opposite rtesult and would also have been worthless for the same reason.
Honestly you are right that trump does well in some areas of Virginia but not enough to win the state.
I forgot to mention that there is only one poll that counts, and it was not truthful in 2020.

Remember though that this time around by the time we vote there will be more crime discovered in DC, so much that some dims will kick over.
There is no way to tell at this time whether there will be enough to make a difference.
I do not live in VA but I do spend a lot of time in the state and have for the last 75 years, I have hopes for them.
In reality, Trump is running against the Obozo and the deep state, Jobama is just their up front patsy.
