In my sub-40 years of existence, I’ve witnessed multiple market bubbles and collapses that in hindsight were predictable, but the warning signs of inevitable failure were obviously ignored.
People disregard the few naysayers because their desire to be a part of an in-vogue fad outweighs any common sense.

It didn’t burst. It is carried on in stealth. You have to be really, really good to get a job and/or a promotion if you are a white guy.
>> You have to be really, really good to get a job and/or a promotion if you are a white guy.
So strive to be really, really good and put the DEI fools to shame.

I had to read that twice, for meaning.
So, in other words, Adam Coleman is just a baby. :-)
(Kidding... Adam and his generation and the one following are bearing the brunt of the woke, DEI culture. He and his generation(s) are always in my prayers.)
then when you do get the job/promotion you will be doing the work of 5 people who sit around and do nothing except make your life miserable with meetings and ‘training’.
The expect to use white people to cover for the DEI client’s inadequacies.
Where I work, there are 40+ people on the team I work in. Of those people there are 5 white men, one of whom is openly gay.
From the article:
“Although we see corporations as entities, we forget they’re essentially run by people just as persuadable as the rest of us.
“And with the media’s racial-division propaganda machine in full effect, the people within these companies wondered if the social-justice natural disaster would soon flood into their boardrooms.”
Uhhhh...not so sure these were “just people”, ignorant, fearful, amenable.
There must have been in those boardroomms and C-suites a critical mass of hardcore socialists, racist non-whites, self-hating whites, and principle-free intellectual whores.
True, that.
What’s your alternative?
I worked at a place that had a fairly diverse workforce.
Whites, Vietnamese, Iranians, blacks, Chinese, pretty much you name it. I was in a highly specialized engineering organization in Boeing.
We were all highly qualified engineers.
However one in particular a Chinese woman with a PhD decided to do her own thing. They sought to terminate her as it was so demoralizing to the entire unit( we routinely did 50hr plus work weeks). Boeing Legal told us to give her a desk and a computer in an isolated area and leave it be. It was cheaper than a discrimination lawsuit.
Do you think that had no influence on future hiring?
BTW we had no requirement for quotas, just hire the best,
regardless of race or nationality.
“a Chinese woman with a PhD decided to do her own thing.”
What does that mean?
Given the tenor of the post, she was a slacker while the rest of the team worked 50+ hours a week. Corporate was afraid of a discrimination lawsuit from her if they fired her.
So corporate told the team to give her a desk by herself and ignore her.
I can see that but the description was vague and leaves open a number of more colorful possibilities. Plus, why do numerous other engineers get demoralized because a single one is slacking off? Just inform management she’s not carrying her weight and carry on.
“So strive to be really, really good and put the DEI fools to shame.”
No. All the white males need to do average work if they are getting average pay. You don’t support a corrupt system by working harder. That is what they want. You burn it down.
“You have to be really, really good to get a job and/or a promotion if you are a white guy.”
Sleeping with the female boss wouldn’t hurt either.
:-)
“there are 40+ people on the team I work in. Of those people there are 5 white men,”
The 5 are probably in the top 8 to 10 in performance. They won’t get half of the promotions. Maybe one will get one. The white guys need to slow it down. Think of John Galt.
If one of the 4 do that, the other 3 should really gum up the works.
DEI - ugly stuff...
Give her a job assignment within her skill set, request her cooperation, and she refused to do it, repeatedly.
