Mark Levin: Trump’s Lawyers Should Ask SCOTUS to Stop Unconstitutional Prosecutions
Breitbart ^ | 3 Aug 2023 | JOEL B. POLLAK

Posted on 08/04/2023 7:53:08 AM PDT by conservative98

Conservative radio host and litigator Mark Levin said Thursday on the Mark Levin Show that Donald Trump’s lawyers should file an emergency request for the U.S. Supreme Court to stop the prosecutions of the former president.

Levin argued that Special Counsel Jack Smith, who he noted is not a presidential appointee, was using the indictments of Trump “as political weapons” to tarnish him as a candidate. He observed that Smith had asked federal judges, in both the “documents” case filed in Miami, and the “January 6” case filed in Washington, to carry out a speedy trial. That, he said, seemed designed to affect Trump’s chances in the upcoming election, and to divert Trump’s time and money from campaigning to defending himself.

“The fact is that this kind of legal warfare against a presidential and possible, if not likely, opponent to the present president, is not only unprecedented in the history of our Republic, it will destroy our electoral system for all time,” Levin argued further.

“It is not something that should be let to the various district courts or local courts to sort out in the course of regular judicial proceedings. In fact, that is part of the intended strategy by the prosecutors, who are engaged in this assault on our electoral system. They must not be rewarded for their behavior,” he said.

Specifically, Mark Levin is a Constitutional lawyer and, IIRC, clerked at the USSC.

This is unprecedented—law fare used by the President to basically hamstring his main opponent. They need to intervene to save our electoral system and our free an fair elections, as they call them and to take the decision for who we get to vote for out of the hands of Biden’s hands, a corrupt DOJ’s hands, a partisan Judge’s hands and, mostly, stopping the decision on who we vote for out of the hands of 12 jurors who likley all, voted for Biden. They don’t get to pick my President.

Going to the USSC would not be about double jeopardy or even the specifics of the case, it would be about the election interference.
Yes, it seems Soviet, because it is.

Levin’s ok, but a week or so ago he was screaming for a Special Council to investigate all things Biden.

Said Special Counsel would be appointed by Garland, the same guy who appointed Jack Smith.

So...

While hamstringing is the claim, does Trump appear to be suffering? I don’t see it. The cases only embolden him and increases his followers support of him.

I’m deadly serious.

1) Have the charges emboldened him?

2) Are his followers/supporters even more determined to support him?

He’s explained all that. On one side we have Republicans saying no special counsel. Then you also have other Republcians saying no impeachment or no impeachment inquirery. And no impeachment inquirery because ultimately that will lead us to impeachment. The Republicans are getting cold feet. It’s one thing to go on TV or websites and various platforms and podcasts to kick up dust about what the Biden crime family is doing. It’s another thing to actually DO something about it.

There’s only 2 things that can be done about it. 1) is via the executive branch and obviously Biden controls the DOJ and the AG of the US. The only option in that regard is a Special Counsel. It’s the only option. It’s not a great option. But it’s the only option. And it’s interesting that Garland is doing everything he can to prevent the appointment of one. Why? You have seen how some brave FBI agents have come forward. Because as bad as it gets, there are patriots who have courage and the guts to come forward. And Merrick Garland knows that even if he appoints someone to counsel who he hopes will do his bidding, there may be a prosecutor somewhere who just like there might be a judge somewhere in Wilmington who says enough is enough.

So don’t count Mark emong those who say there should be no special counsel. He strongly believes there should be and Marrick Garland is strongly pushing against it.

Meanwhile, Democrats impeached Trump unconstitutionally and continue to criminally pursue him. Democrats never make excuses on why they can’t push forward. Now you know why Republicans are losers.

Just one of my better qualities. But you never answered the questions. Has Trump been emboldened by the charges and are his followers even more locked in?

If only Levin had been pro-Trump in 2016 (before a couple of rounds of Nelson Reports), Trump would have gotten at least 1M more votes and all this Russia-gate crap would have been laughed off, due to Trump’s COMMANDING VICTORY.

As it is, we Trump supporters will take what we get!

It’s not to dismiss the charges, it is to TEMPORARILY halt the CASES until AFTER the election because what they are trying to do is interfere with the election.
