Former President Donald Trump’s arraignment on Thursday on four new federal charges brings the total number of charges he faces to 78 — 40 in the federal “documents” case; 4 in the federal “January 6” case; and 34 in the New York “Stormy Daniels” case.
First came the 34 state charges, as Breitbart News reported in April:
Former President Donald Trump pleaded not guilty to 34 counts of falsifying business records in the first degree Tuesday afternoon during his historic arraignment.
Trump was arrested around 1:35 p.m. and appeared before the judge, who charged him with 34 counts of falsifying business records, at 2:45 p.m.
Trump pleaded not guilty to indictment No. 71543-23.
Next came the first 37 federal counts from Special Counsel Jack Smith in the “documents” case in June:
Former President Donald Trump could be sentenced to 400 years in prison if he is convicted on all charges and the maximum sentences are imposed consecutively, though a likelier penalty would be for five to twenty years.
Trump was charged with 37 counts, and co-defendant Waltine Nauta was sentenced to six counts.
These were expanded to 40 counts against Trump in a superseding indictment in July.

This is so freakin’ ridiculous!!!!
Prayers up for quick judgement by God to this Jack Smith dude.
None of which is legit. The process is the punishment.
Why not make it an even 100? I’m sure they can make up some other charges
(failed to wash hands after using men’s room e.g.)
The MOMENT Trump (along with his Secret Service detail) are sent to jail, Trump will be at least 10 points up on Biden, as many people who love America, but may not be too hot on Trump realize just what has happened to this country.
It’s like stored elastic energy. When the system gives, look out.
Yeah. Just not enough smiting nowadays.
If more comes out about Brandon’s crime family, they will add a bunch of BS charges the very next day to one or more of the indictments. Par for the Course.
One charge for each year.
Trump’s indicted his age.
“This is so freaking ridiculous”
Yes, almost like its being staged on purpose. 🤔
A-hole leftists continue to use lawfare unabated.
This is how they’ve gotten rid of conservative opposition in smaller races across the nation.
Evil, flipping bastards.
It sure is nice when you can use taxpayer money to harass your political opponents.
And all it takes is just one guilty charge out of all of them for Judge Chutkan to sentence him to jail for life. Again.......just one guilty charge!
I am going to start a thread in the near future comparing the attacks on and treatment of Senator Joseph McCarthy by the 1953 equivalents of the Left and the Deep State, and one of the items to compare is the way charges were brought against him in his censure by the Senate.
They started off with 46 charges against Senator McCarthy, and voted to censure him on two of them-one of them for not “cooperating” with the Senate in the censure process (he didn’t want to be part of and lend legitimacy to the kangaroo court process that was fully meant and constructed to produce a censure) and the other “charge” was that McCarthy had characterized “three members of the Select Committee with ‘deliberate deception’ and ‘fraud’ ... that the special Senate session ... was a ‘lynch party’”, and had characterized the committee “as the ‘unwitting handmaiden’, ‘involuntary agent’ and ‘attorneys in fact’ of the Communist Party”, and had “acted contrary to senatorial ethics and tended to bring the Senate into dishonor and disrepute, to obstruct the constitutional processes of the Senate, and to impair its dignity”.
All of those statements by McCarthy about the censure process were spot on and 100% true, just as Trump’s statements today are.
The point is, they were doing the same thing to McCarthy in 1953-54 that they have been repetitiously doing to Trump since 2016.
They might well level 300 charges against Trump, and convict him on some stupidity such as failure to cooperate by legitimizing his own illegal execution.
When they do (and it is a possibility, after all) they will throw their hands in the air and declare total victory over Trump.
And if it keeps him from running...it will be a victory for them. Which is what they are aiming for.
“so freakin’ ridiculous!!!!”
Doesn’t begin to describe it. I worked in six Latin American countries in the early 70s and didn’t seen any banana republic crap like this. This abuse of power and abuse of justice is going to be the end of the Republic.
Send Jack Smith to Kosovo. I’m sure some people there will gladly send him to hell.
The more ridiculous, the more obvious it becomes
Maybe yes, maybe no - but what does that do for us? Trump can't actually do the job of being President from behind bars.
He should just give up then.
