Ron DeSantis says he will start ‘SLITTING THROATS’ on his first day in office to try and get ‘rid of the deep state’ in DC

A Ron DeSantis administration would begin with a bureaucratic bloodbath, the Florida governor vowed – using language that had some potential supporters feeling queasy.

We’re going to have all these deep state people. You know, we’re going to start slitting throats on Day One,' he said.

That came after a pledge about cracking down on Mexican drug cartels. 'At the border, they’re going to be shot stone, cold dead,' he said, according to New Hampshire's NPR affiliate .

Yet, he’s had the best 4 years of anybody in the last 100 years. What are you smoking?

His first two years were ok but marred by the farcical Russian Collusion hoax where not once did Trump fight back or fire anyone. After he lost the House, he couldn’t get anything passed unless it was from the left, except judicial confirmations. His final year in office was a total catastrophe.

What were you smoking?

"Trump and Desantis Republicans must learn to respect each other and learn to collaborate. There is no other way."

Um, no. I don't have to respect anyone until I think they've earned it.

I'll be voting for Trump next November if I'm still alive. If he's not on the ballot, I will write him in. As far as 2028, that's much too far away to consider anyone for the Republican candidate. If I'm lucky enough to be alive to vote in 2028, I still wouldn't vote for DeSantis. He's lucky he can't run for Governor again, because I believe he's burned his bridges running for President, when he clearly told the people of Florida he would finish his term.

You don't decide you're going to run for President overnight. It takes time and planning. He didn't just decide he was running for President five months after he was re-elected. He already knew before last year's election. And, because he had no faith in his own ability to run, and win, he had the State Legislature changed the Resign-to-Run law, to ensure he'd still get a paycheck, and so when he crashed and burned, he'd have his Governor's office to go back to. The only other Republican Governor to get the law changed was Charlie Crist (Republican/Rino/Democrat), because he thought he had a shot at McCain's V.P. slot. It was Governor Rick Scott who had the law changed back to its original form. DeSantis also got the Legislature to change part of The Sunshine Laws so that all of his past and future travels, where he goes, who he meets with, etc., will be hidden from everyone. I can't respect anyone that uses the Republican-controlled Florida State Legislature to help himself pursue his political future.

The logical solution I see is to vote for Trump in 2024 and for Desantin in 2028. Its fair. I don’t see how and Republicans can refute such a pragmatic solution.

Trump is damaged goods. Time to cut him loose and go into battle with a new general. That general is DeSantis.

If Trump is “damaged goods”, DeSantis is flooded and destroyed by a hurricane.

DeSantis is flooded and destroyed by a hurricane.

Funny. The Democrats are targeting Trump. They are counting on our emotional attachment to Trump.

We need to be pragmatic. DeSantis is Trump's successor to the MAGA movement. It's time.

DeStupid is the worst major candidate for Repubs I have ever seen.

If you are going Swamp, I advise Youngkin or Kemp. If either of them is just average they are way more capable as candidates than DeSantis.

campaign blunders :

404 on the Twitter Spaces launch
flip flop on Ukraine under orders by donors
Trump indicted by Bragg, and DeSantis namechecks “pornstar” in response
MAGA in public and tells donors in private that Trump tariffs were a mistake
Counter scheduled New Hampshire Federation of Republican Women event
Did the same to a Long Island Repub group
Response to Mar a Lago indictment was “Trump didn’t drain the Swamp”.
“Slit throats”

and this ad is in a class by itself.

His first two years were ok but marred by the farcical Russian Collusion hoax

He had 4 years as president, and in every one he got things done. Like the best foreign policy in the last 50 years or so, and a border which was the best in over 50 years if not ever, and an economy which was the envy of the world.

And, he brought the Russian Collusion hoax on himself Is that something he deserves credit for? What eh "F" are you smoking? Even with that hoax and others, he still had the best performance from a president in many decades, if not in the last 100 years. NObody can match his accomplishment.

The very same party people supporting DeSantis made the suggestions of who Trump should nominate. The uniparty Congress confirmed them.

DeSantis himself was a part of that Congress four years before Trump became president and two years after. Yet DeSantis never bothered to say a word about the corrupt govt. he was a part of. It took Trump coming on to the scene to finally expose them for what they are.

Hopefully Trump will be able to appoint people who have nothing to do with either party of the corrupt swamp. Thanks to Donald Trump, it is now obvious to most people that they have been the most corrupt and unqualified people to fill any position in govt.

DeSantis is learning how to campaign nationally. He is young so he is a little bit green.

Instead I look at his track record in Florida.

If Trump was smart, he'd stand down and throw the full weight of his support behind DeSantis while apologizing and begging forgiveness

Your ok to let the liberals stomp on him and us is truly frightening. That’s why we lose elections. You let the dims make our candidates damaged goods, you buy into this? Oh hell no! We need to say no more. What makes anyone think that even if we would run the purest of pure they wouldn’t smear him or her. That is a losing mind set. The libs delight in seeing us roll over.

Because he was lucky enough to have a massive Republican majority in both Houses of the State Legislature. He didn’t deliver anything on his own.

So true……
And that’s why he can up and go campaign around the country after 5 months of being re-elected as governor supposedly for four more years. He has a great Lt. Governor and a great attorney general minding the house .
If he’d win the presidency he will not be walking into such friendly territory.

“Trump has no idea how to appoint good people.”

Trump has said recently he is much more experienced in dealing with the Washington swamp. He admitted he was jerked around by “trusted” “advisors”. He was opposed from day one from within and without. You just don’t get it.

So you are channeling Don Quixote....
Tilt at the windmill, pretend that there is a better alternative, talk in slogans and ignore history.

One man gets all your disdain yet that man, flawed like everyone of us, has done more than any other President in my lifetime to return America to her founding principles and return opportunity for every American to work for their dreams with equal justice under the law to all Americans.

By % Trump has completed more of his promises than any President in 70 years. But you want to heap abuse on him for not keeping all. Any sane person knows that w/o cooperation from the Republican Congress, which he did not get because they are corrupt, no human being could have done more. Of course in the movie playing in your mind any one else could have...funny how they never do.
