Good. Let’s hope it passes.
EACH vote should be made explicitly and contemporaneously to the election at hand, no others.
Ranked choice violates one-person, one vote. Those voting for the losing candidate get their votes re-cast for another. It should have been challenged by Kelly Tshibaka upon “losing” to Murkowski.
Good on AKs. NevaDUH is headed there thanks to union whining. Dumbassery writ large!
Having Palin lose her House race was a bonus.
It's a pity that the idiot Alaskan people had to experience first hand how RCV pitted 3 candidates in the general election instead of 2. You ended up with one Democrat, one RINO, and one conservative. RCV was designed to keep conservatives from winning.
Ranked Choice Voting is almost as dumb as the National Popular Vote movement.
There are a few states that have adopted NPV as the law of their state. What it means is this: no matter WHO wins the state’s popular vote in an election, the state’s electoral votes go to whoever wins the popular vote in the NATION.
16 states and the District of Columbia have already passed this crap, which puts the electoral college number at 205. Last May, the Marxists in Minnesota put the law in place. Minnesota has 10 electoral votes.
So, let’s say in 2024 the Republican wins Minnesota by 1%. (Just imagine). But the Democrat operative wins the National Vote by 1%. All ten of Minnesota’s votes go to the Demonrat.
This reverses the wishes of the majority of Minnesota voters.

are the states with NPV laws on the books. The change over goes into effect AS SOON AS enough states with 270 electoral votes pass a similar provision.
Republicans in these states need to work on repealing these laws that are against what our founders intended. We were given the electoral college to protect the voters in each state...these laws take away the voting rights of the citizens and put the power in the hands of 49 other states and the corrupt District of Columbia.
Keep in mind, even some states without RCV still have RCV-enabled voting machines...
Now whyever would that be? π€
Agreed. Many people feel that something isn’t right with voting and our electoral systems - but they are too lazy to devote too much though or investigation to what it all means - so they are easily sold on the “new shiny thing” which promises to be different.
I feel the same way about term limits. Yes, there are corrupt and seemingly permanent elected politicians. But all term-limits do is make them tourists in the government they are supposed to control. It just makes the unelected deep-state bureaucrats (think Fauci, Comey, etc..)_ who have been there for decades even more powerful.
“Rank Choice Voting” is just another way the Demoncrats ... I mean Democrats came up with another way of stealing elections.
Ranked choice voting favors small groups that are highly organized and motivated to steer the unorganized, the apathetic into action their way.
Voters who are not organized, focused on work, church, family, non-politics are the losers.
