BIG: Ron DeSantis Accepts Invitation to Debate Gavin Newsom

While it doesn’t look like Donald Trump will show up at the first GOP primary debate, Ron DeSantis is now set to face a different debate challenge. The Florida governor, while appearing on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show, officially accepted an invitation to debate Gavin Newsom.

When asked by Hannity what his answer was to Newsom’s offer, DeSantis responded: “Absolutely, I’m game.”

“Let’s get it done. Just tell me when and where we’ll do it,” DeSantis said as the audience cheered. “In one respect, the debate between California and Florida has already been had, as you suggest, people have been voting on that, they’ve been voting on it with their feet, they have fled California in record numbers.”

“Florida has been the number one state for net in-migration,” DeSantis continued. “We have the number one ranked economy, number one now in education, crime rate at a 50-year-low. But in another sense, this is the debate for the future of our country because you have people like Joe Biden, they would love to see the Californication of the United States.”

The most successful conservative governor in the country is willing to debate the governor of the most failed state in the country and half the replies here are critical of it.

What does January 6th have to do with a debate between the prominent liberal governor and a prominent conservative governor?

Yes I skipped over it because I don’t understand the connection.

I actually agree with him , in that,, I’d love to see a reckoning about what the left has done to this country. But I don’t see how being against a debate between the prominent liberal and a prominent conservative somehow serves that purpose.

Conservatism has not stopped the left. Only Reagan and President Trump slowed them down. They were Jacksonian Nationalists. Conservative, Inc is garbage. Controlled opposition, just like Bill Buckley. The John Birch Society was wrong about some things, but they were ABOSOLUTLY RIGHT about red infiltration. I HATE the term Conservative. You know what a conservative is? The squishes (like Pence) that wants the democrats to reduce their speed from 85 to the posted 55 as they drive the country off the cliff.
