Remember this guy Pence as VP on the first day of the Trump presidency raising hell over General Flynn supposedly “lying’ to him and the FBI?? This was the orchestrated meeting with Flynn in which he gladly cooperated with Strzok asking questions about a meeting with the Russian ambassador which was perfectly legitimate for an incoming national security assistant. I found it very odd that Pence squealed about being lied to which sounded to me like he was part of the FBI false front intended to entrap Flynn and force him out.

I never liked Pence to begin with because he was smarmy and plastic. He was picked to soothe the Evangelicals (who no longer matter) but I always thought he was a fraud even on the Evangelicals.

Maybe you could cut and paste anything from the Constitution that gives the VP/President of The Senate the authority to reject Electoral Ballots.
The only thing I’ve found in the Constitution is a section that says the Senate President/VP opens the ballot envelopes and hands the ballots to the Tellers to be counted. The Tellers being two members of the House and two members of the Senate selected by Congress.
The authority to reject Electoral Ballots is given to Congress as a whole. Any Electoral Ballot can be rejected by a vote of Congress for any reason. However, the VP has nothing to do with the process. Before the Electoral Ballots get to Congress, the States are in control of the process.
