Because we are no longer the country that we were. It is now a Banana Republic and the Democrats can do what they want. The DOJ is not going to stop them.

You misread. Garland chose “this man” = Jack Smith. Garland did not choose the judge.

The judges are not chosen by prosecutors. They are randomly picked from a list of available judges. Same process that gave Trump Aileen Cannon, a judge he appointed, in the documents case.

Ultimately, both of these cases are going to SCOTUS though.
