Many people think that the COVID lockdowns were just a dry run.
Everything the government touches turns to crap yet the lesson is never learned. And everything the government touches turns into an inefficient bureaucratic empire that can barely do its job, if at all, and burns through money like there’s no limit to it. And they become immortal.
This happens and all bets are off that voting in Nov. 2024 is going to fix the problem in Washington D.C.
So the President can just declare himself dictator on a whim? There is nothing in the Constitution where the executive has been given this sort of power.
We all know it’s not up to Biden. It’s up to whoever is pulling strings.

Such an act by the government will constitute an unmitigated, gross breach of the Constitution and warrants extrajudicial punishment of ALL involved in executing resulting illegal policies.

The problem with the climate emergency is that it would not be anthropogenic and there is nothing that anyone can do to stop an under water volcano.
I am opposed to giving any government official “emergency powers”. We should have learned our lesson during Covid, but then, the federal government handed off most of the implementing of the power grab to state governors, but this time, the uniparty might decide to let Biden take the blame and then get rid of him.
Well hopefully, enough people got tired of the sheepery to simply disobey the climate “emergency.” Keep driving their pickups, use their gas stoves, enjoy beer and other consumables, etc.
I don't think it's as simple as that.
COVID-19 emergency powers were at least underpinned by some forms of Congressional laws regarding health, epidemics, and quarantine.
I don't think there is anything Congress has done to allow a President to nationalize the energy industry for immediate "life and death" reasons that the COVID-19 edicts were predicated on.
Oh, and the most drastic of Biden's diktats were overturned by the Courts.

IMO, if Biden does declare a climate emergency, it won’t be this summer but after the next election, assuming he gets reelected.
If Biden is gone in the next election but some other Democrat wins, for example Gavin Newsom, a climate emergency declaration is probably a foregone conclusion.

Biden: Come on man, we just need two weeks to straighten out the climate curve. Just two weeks. We can all sacrifice two weeks of total lock downs, no power, and no gasoline sales. You won’t even have to go to work. Don’t worry though, your friends at the government will send you checks. More than you would have made at work, plus unemployment comp. It’s for the common good. Where is your American pioneer spirit? Do you want to roast your grandma to death and leave a charred cinder of a planet for your kids, kill polar bears, cause mass extinctions and melt all the ice at the poles? Don’t be an idiot, trust us, we are your government and we would never lie to you.
