If it hadn’t been for a fender bender on Interstate 75 near Chattanooga, Tennessee, Tuesday morning, most folks wouldn’t know that Gov. Ron DeSantis was using state government vehicles for his 2024 run for president.
But finding out who’s paying for it is nearly impossible thanks to a new law passed by the Legislature to protect the governor’s travel records from public view.
“The legislature has enabled him to hide his travel records so we don’t know and have no way to hold him accountable if he is using state resources in his campaign or if that is even the case,”
“If the accident hadn’t been reported, we wouldn’t have known otherwise about the use of state vehicles,” Eskamani said. “It makes you wonder how often state vehicles and public employees are being used at out-of-state campaign events.”
The DeSantis campaign did not respond to a request for more information about the use of state vehicles and personnel.

Just add mis-appropriation and use of state resources to the illegal stuff desanctimonious does and thinks he will get away with....
It’s 400 miles from Tallahassee to Chattanooga.
How many state vehicles did they have there ? Just the four in the crash, or more ?
This is expected from an inside player.
It’s not a problem - he was promoting tourism for the sunshine state 😏
Yep. He had the Sunshine laws changed so that nobody, not even his family’s travel records past and present can be viewed by anybody. And of course he also made sure he’d continue to get a paycheck by changing the Resign-to-Run law, so that when he crashes and burns, he can slither back to Florida and pick up where he left off, but his future in politics is shot. He did it to himself.
And there are those that still support this clown and no matter the consequences, will not vote for Pres Trump.
I don’t know if it’s in the millions, but it’s definitely well into the 1000s, but Pres Trump isn’t getting a vote from any of them.
Shouldn’t he have his butt down in Florida running government? So ridiculous. In my opinion to get re-elected and then turn around and hit the campaign trail on the state’s dime. What a stooge.
I think they were TN vehicles not FL
👍🏻
So if they were registered in TN vehicles, how are they also FL state vehicles ?
Does FL have vehicles in different states for ... what ?
I’m pretty sure the way the article is written, they were in Florida government cars.....
A female staffer was treated on the scene for minor injuries, but no one else was hurt, police said. Other accident victims included Florida Department of Law Enforcement agents. All the vehicles involved were government vehicles, the police report said.
It would be would be strange for Tennessee to be driving desantis to campaign events.
At least he pays his bills unlike the other dude who stiffs town after town.
That’s so exciting.
