He is busy on DeSantis threads.
Yawn.
Golf carts have worķed fine for decades.
Only need enough time at the range to get to the 19th hole....
No reasonable prosecuter charges for violating the Laws of Physics any more.
YMMV :)
Its all about control, they can control electricity
Big Auto has been screwing with gas mileage figs for decades, why would it come clean with regard to EVs...
How exactly do they come up with the number?
Putting any vehicle on a fixed roller and letting it run until it stops is quite different than road conditions.
Even if you schedule accelerations and stops, your actual set of accelerations and stops will be different and yield a different result.
And if you attempt to factor in use of AC, headlights, and radio it gets even more error prone.
“On golf courses and in super markets.”
Those are successful using the old fashioned led-acid batteries.
EVs for the most part are totally useless. They don’t work well in cold or hot weather when AC or heat are required. They can’t handle mountainous terrain without draining the battery quickly.
As with every consumer product, the design and build quality will deteriorate to make room for price increases for quality models. This will, in turn, result in lower battery performance, but more importantly, more EV fires.
Having had a phone battery fire myself, I can tell you all it is surprising to say the least. What looks like a harmless little phone can easily burn your house to the ground or your car to ashes.
Older EV’s will have to be parked away from residential buildings.
I had the same question. Seems to say the opposite of the point the author is making.

Yep, it’s easy to underestimate just how much energy is stored in those little phone batteries.
I was thinking of Pfizer products....

The Chinese have fields of EVs rotting,

Export to the US.

How’s the ocean’s garbage islands with all the plastic water bottles going?

Ask China and Africa where 99.9% of it comes from.
I can’t see any market for a five year old EV with 150,000 miles on it considering the cost just to replace the batteries when they ultimately die.
Now you know why the car manufacturers were QUICK to jump on the EV wagon...they will have the ENTIRE car market because not a single person in their right mind would purchase a used EV - PERIOD!
