Nashville’s largest gun store was recently closed by the BATF. I hated to see it but apparently the store did fudge some records. One must cross every t and dot every i or else.
When I was in elementary school, my parents often had me spend summers with my farmer grandparents.
My fondest memory was blowing up stumps with granddad.
He bought the dynamite and blasting caps at the local general store.
I noticed a few years back that our local feed-hardware and gun store uses a computer for form 4473. Once it is filled out on the computer, they have a cardboard or plastic sheet they place over the screen with certain square holes cut in it. It is to make sure that every i is dotted and every t is crossed just right before they complete the sale.
Ah for the good old days....
Lots of private sales took place in the parking lot of a large local gun show I go to. Some guys just stood outside the entrance with their personal firearms hoping to make a sale or trade right there.
Other sales took place between private individuals inside. Others at tables required the forms 4473 be filled out and they had a special table to make the background check calls.
Enforcing the laws already on the books?
